The socialist republic of the UK surely?

Whoa ... 48%

That would take your incentive away to produce any more money, expand your business, that provides jobs, and more taxable income.

I would have stopped producing income there a long time ago.  That's only $160k USD.   I stopped and left the USA because of 37% tax hit :cheesy:

So reality is, USA lost more tax money from me, in 25 yrs, a lot more, than I've collected from them, in 25 yrs.  By my quick calculation, I would be paying 2.5X plus, what I'm collecting today, If still paid the same amount, as my last tax year.   I get <$2400 a month (<$28.8k yr), and my last tax bill was $74k ... Holy Sh!t ... :cheesy:

And I'm only 1 person.   How many others with enough, simply said enough is enough already, and stopped producing ?  Worse, left and don't even put it back into the economy.

Sooner or later, you run out of other people's money :coffee1:

It was a mistake to mention that life isn't going to be easy. Western people have grown used to "easy" and have no capacity to accept things being "not easy".

It's very difficult to please everyone.  Factory workers want jobs, but people are used to buying cheap plastic junk from China.

The challenge comes from the disconnection.  People might feel bad about the crumbling state of society, both physically and metaphorically, but when it comes to paying 10 dollars for something vs. 100 dollars, in that instance, they're going to choose the option that leads to all the things they complain about.

I want americans to stop with all the childish whining about how awful it all is and recognize that overall they are very very lucky to have been born and live in  America and not North Korea.  That would be a start.

Don't have to belong to left, right or anything else as only the MAGAmaniacs have even a modicum of support for his idiotic stance.

You voted for the idiot so you can now suffer the consequences as will the rest of the world!

PS; where is your answer to my questions reference your lies about the so called 40 non existent  icebreakers?

Benjamin has made a good point here. I didn't know myself but apparently American consumers are paying the VAT tax in Thailand when goods are exported to the US. This is especially unfair for US companies that offshored and export back to America. Basically they make the consumer eat the taxes and they get to keep the profits from the cheap labor, then the Thai owned factory profits as well of course.

Clearly unfair and something to re-negotiate with Thailand although it's not going to reduce the trade deficit. If this is all the trade war accomplishes with Thailand I'd be happy.

It would be typical of Trump to throw out this trade deficit talk as basically B.S. and a means to an end and not really about this thing itself per se. VAT is only like 7% anyways and doesn't come close to the 34% Trump wants on them.

Anyone that isn't hopelessly partisan can have an intelligent conversation about trade policy and globalism. People take Trumps blustering too seriously and there is a real issue underneath all of this.

The stock market etc does NOT need "bluster" but facts and policies, not the present B.S. from him.

It seems to have escaped Khun LA's notice that Trump has just imposed a huge tax increase on Americans.

Did you ever wonder why Trump doesn't take his salary and donates it to good causes. Is that how greedy conmen operate?

You see, unlike your man Burisma Biden who was primarily motivated by greed(see the laptop you guys falsely claimed was a hoax) Trump is motivated by patriotism and love for his country.

Interesting that towards the end of your whine, you whine about others whining! Just who is and isn't using their brains?😂

Having the secret service stay at his place paying an inflated price?

Selling hats, bibles, guitars and trying to make money off his Trump coin?

I am sure there is a lot more.

You have to come up with something better in order for me to believe he is some kind of saint.

You mean like launching a Trump memecoin just days before he takes office while promising to reduce regulation of crypto? That's just one of his many scams, And the take was far more than even was alleged that Biden took. And I stress "alleged" since you repeatedly make these claims and every time you bring up something specific I shoot it down.

And the Trump family is actually deepening its involvement with crypto.

Please don't compare Trump's legal and legitimate business with Biden's web of LLC's taking inexplicable10s of millions from Americas adversaries. You shot nothing down just droning on about Rudy Giuliani and steadfastly ignoring the FBI authenticated the laptop in 2019. You were and are completely on the wrong side of every political issue.

To date, there has been no proof that Joe Biden profited even by a nickle from Hunter Biden's activities. And while it may be legal for the Trump to do what he's doing, it wouldn't be legal for a member of the cabinet. Lawmakers never imagined that a President could be so sleazy so they never put restrictions on them.

So can you confirm, Trump will be free to craft foreign policy to enrich himself and family so long as he launders the ill gotten gains through 28 LLC's?? Really??

You really want to bring up the issue of LLC's? Big mistake.

This is from the Marxist-Leninists at Rupert Murdoch's Wall St. Journal:

How Donald Trump’s Web of LLCs Obscures His Business Interests
The opacity of his holdings makes it impossible to gauge the full extent of potential conflicts he may face as president

Please explain what that real issue is!

This is the same old debate about Globalism and free trade that has been going on for decades now. Go listen to some economists on both sides to hear the arguments.

In particular interest to us here are import taxes which affect expats and hurt US exporters. Those deals could be renegotiated after this fallout.

Too late for negotiations as Trump can never ever be trusted over anything again!

Even assuming he ever was trusted over anything before!!

Even Ringo knows "It Don't come Easy." But the left wing socialist, globalist Democrats always want the easy way no matter how much the U.S. suffers under hyper inflation and historical high debt. Its all about free stuff with the Democrats and socialism. Just gime, gime, gime.
