Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra has initiated legal proceedings against Thunyathep “Hot” Sirisubdaechakun, who falsely claimed to be her advisor to deceive Thai actress Rinyarat “Kana” Watchararojsiri. Kana revealed on Channel 3's news programme that Hot, her former boyfriend, duped her into an engagement by posing as a political influencer with ties to the PM and even the Royal Secretary to the King.

Hot further manipulated Kana by claiming she needed his help due to her business partner's alleged illegal activities, and requested 98,000 baht to buy a gift for the PM as a show of gratitude. Kana later uncovered that Hot was already married and lacked any governmental or royal connections, discovering he had deceived other women similarly.

In response to the allegations, Hot attempted suicide at Khok Kham Police Station but survived with a spinal fracture. He is currently stable under hospital care. Police investigations revealed a previous fraud charge against Hot from 2021, and his history of changing surnames to avoid arrest.

Jirayu Huangsub, the genuine advisor to PM Paetongtarn, confirmed that there was no connection between the PM and Hot, and that legal action had already been taken against him for falsely using the PM's name. The case continues as authorities work to determine the appropriate charges and penalties for Hot's criminal activities, reported The Thaiger.
