A community day out on Chiang Mai's Ping River took an unexpected twist after a viral clip surfaced online, capturing a coyote dancer in a G-string dancing provocatively close to a male patron on a public raft. The footage, shared by a local influencer, sparked swift backlash online, with viewers labelling the performance as "vulgar," and "inappropriate for children."

The dancer, performing in plain sight of families and tourists cooling off nearby, has ignited discussion about appropriateness in public spaces. An online disclaimer followed, claiming the dancer's attire would be adjusted in future performances. Despite this, virtually everyone condemned the spectacle, noting the presence of children made it highly unsuitable.

District Chief Watchara Thepkan defended the events, citing official approval for community tourism. Contrarily, critics argue that such performances are unacceptable in a family locale. Investigations reveal the raft operators were unaware of who hired the dancer and claim tourists brought their own alcohol.

With authorities now probing the incident, locals report it was the first occasion such a performance graced the rafts, typically venues for mere background music. While coyote dancing hovers in a legal grey area, employing scantily-clad dancers on rafting trips seems a significant misstep, causing ripples across Thailand, reported The Thaiger.

" A rose is still a rose by any other name "

Depends if you are looking at it with western eyes, or have adapted to Thai culture.

, capturing a coyote dancer in a G-string dancing.

So they capture her what did they do with her.

Didn't see a G string   only Bikini top and Bikini  bottom.

Grow up , the kids can see much worse then that at swimming pools and the beaches and at home.

They are prudes when it suits  them  normally they couldn't care less.

Thank you for making my day again; "virtually everyone condemned the spectacle" just made it to the joke of this year (so far). Either the spectators were a bunch of religious brainwashed geezers, do-gooders or tree huggers - me thinks!

"Authorities now probing the incident" (good luck with that one) while "it was the first occasion such a performance gracing the rafts" - gives the word "grace" a completely new, welcomed, meaning.

"Coyote dancing hovers in a legal grey area, employing scantily-clad dancers ........ seems a significant misstep, causing ripples across Thailand" (ripples across Thailand - now how is that for the Thursday?).

You simply cannot make up such stuff, hilarious, thank you!

I would be happy to

I dont think he's into men, as he seemed to enjoy his 'lap' dance.

Cry me a RIVER. Are they "streaming "this incident. As far as I’m concerned it’s all just water under the (biffins) bridge. No point swimming against the tide - go with the flow…

Children discover the early stage in the process which ended up with their conception and eventual appearance on the scene….

Influencer. !!

who actually listens to them.
They are like rowing a G-string.  Oops I mean boat without a paddle.

In fact an awful lot of people- it’s why companies pay them considerable sums to promote their products and the best earn handsomely from it . Tate brothers…?

it’s simply the modern method of advertising…

Now I know why the river is named Ping - the sounds of G strings being plucked!

There's far too much of this on the internet these days. Just look at the countless Facebook and Instagram reels featuring girls dancing provocatively in their underwear. Children are exposed to this content daily, and many end up mimicking it, thinking it's acceptable behavior. This kind of material should be age-restricted and kept out of reach of young audiences

50,000 hookers in Pattaya..maybe 200K in BKK....and one girl in a bikini causes front page news!

The outcry was probably due to the guy in the raft not having any Baht bills for the donation
