Popular Post Jeff the Chef Posted April 15 Popular Post Posted April 15 It's great living on Planet Earth, except for a few local difficulties, mainly caused by different Ideologies, Religions, and the stupid Inhabitants of said Planet: Ideologies: Communism v Capitalism v Anyone Else. Religions: Most God Squads, i.e. Catholics, Protestants, Orthodoxy, Mormons, to many other sects to mention: All about money and influence, Muslims: If their not fighting each other, everyone else must join or be killed. Jews: Apparently, the chosen ones, very influential in certain parts of the planet, like to control everything where possible, normally by stealth. Overriding problems: A few Countries have the ability to destroy the whole Planet in a few seconds, while the whole population of the Planet, no matter where they stand on any of the above, I feel won't want that to happen, so what do we do? There is also the possibility the Human Race is using up all this Planets resources, if that is the case, this discussion might not matter, anyone out there got any ideas? Discuss, peacefully, I live in hope. Concerned Citizen, living in peace, looking at the stars. 1 1 1 3

Popular Post Lacessit Posted April 15 Popular Post Posted April 15 Economics assumes endless growth is feasible. It takes no account of the pollution we generate. IMO it is inevitable the number of humans on the planet must decline, in which case it's better to be well off. 2 1

The question is, whether it is nobler in the mind to suffer the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune, or to take up arms against a sea of troubles, and by opposing, end them? if you can’t be arsed taking up arms, don’t ask for help from your brother beyond the stars 1

There’s none of those problems that wouldn’t be solved by human extinction. We need to be clear about the challenges that we set to AI, whose side we are on, and our second choice opportunities 1 1

We wouldn't have to clean them up, if we didn't F'em up to begin with. Ending wars is easy, though not profitable. Simply stop staring them, or selling bullets to keep them going.

(no, I'm not jewish, but can't think of a better word). 1

KhunLA Posted April 15 Posted April 15 I don't know how to deal with all the horror we have to endure, in everyday life. My brain needs a vacation, from all of the thoughts of how I contribute to the destruction of the planet, which seems to be doing just fine. The stress is killing me ... Come on, whistle along with me ... Need a dock, 3 more kms north ... there you go ... 1 1

If AI becomes capable, it will simply generate solutions that mankind will gladly ignore. We already know much of what will be suggested. But, we are too lazy, ignorant or greedy to apply it. Plus, we have terrible leaders worldwide. 1 1

Especially when a major part of your industry is based on armaments, where is the incentive for peace? 3

Profits seem to have the driving force behind most 'regime changes' that I've notice. Whether driven by the central bank, now having almost all countries under their umbrella, or the defense contractors. Added plus of war or unstable regions, to blame on other profit driven industries; oil as prime example. Even charities are big business, with millions of 'administration fees' and small % going to those supposedly being helped. 4 1

Cameroni Posted April 15 Posted April 15 Think about it, you take women drivers off the road globally -immediate end to the pollution. You take women out of the work force - instant jobs for the unemployed (plus women need men again - happy relationships). It's women! Women are the problem. Or feminism to be more precise. 2
