A violent street brawl erupted in Patong, Phuket, leaving a bar worker bloodied and bruised in an incident fuelled by jealousy. The altercation occurred in the early hours of 14th April near the bustling entrance to Bangla Road, a hub for nightlife on the island.

The victim, a 26-year-old woman identified as B, had just concluded her shift when the chaos unfolded. According to B's account to local police, her boyfriend came to collect her but was approached by a woman from a nearby table, accompanied by a group of Thai men. The woman invited him to join them, which he declined, leading the situation to escalate quickly.

B recounted, "A woman invited my boyfriend, and when he refused, they became aggressive. I attempted to calm the situation, but was struck in the eye, causing me to fall."

The situation deteriorated into a brutal assault, with B and her boyfriend repeatedly kicked and punched. The violence only ceased when the bar's manager and the owner's son intervened. Disturbing CCTV footage captured the incident at 3.49am, showing B’s boyfriend being restrained while others hit him, and B suffering blows, collapsing to the ground.

Police arrived promptly, yet B described witnessing the group seated in a nearby bronze-silver pickup truck, close to the police station, without arrests being made at the time. "One woman even mocked me for crying," B recalled, expressing her frustration at the perceived indifference.

Following the incident, B filed an official complaint at Patong Police Station and received medical treatment for her facial injuries at a local hospital. The assault gained significant attention after the Facebook page สุดแจ๊คปลัดบอก spotlighted the incident, sharing images of B's injuries and demanding urgent legal recourse. The page alleged the assailants had connections to a prominent local business.

As of now, police have yet to confirm suspect identities or whether any charges have been pressed. The ongoing investigation seeks to unravel the attack's circumstances and hold those responsible accountable. Meanwhile, the public remains attentive, eager for justice as the social media spotlight heightens pressure on law enforcement, reported The Thaiger.

I keep having my opinion that bars open till 1 or 2 am id more than enough... You see the night is for the creeps and nothing goods comes out of it. The greed however of the bars and restaurants is gigantic but why laws for alcohol consumption forbidden during the day, while in the evening people can drink as much as they want. Let them get drunk in daytime than they will sleep at night... Or nobody needs to go to work the next day?? Tourists too.. In many countries bars are closed around 1 or 2 am...

Wait till the good doers come along and say that happens all over the world

There is obviously more to this story than we are being told but, the level of violence in many of these same type situations is just sickening. This sounds like Thai on Thai but it seems any combination of nationailties, when caught up in a drunken / drugged situation and fighting, a much more serious level of violence is becoming more and more prominent.

Declining an invitation caused the brawl?? Hardly to believe. Or jealousy?

It was the time of the day and everybody drunk out of mind and control.

You may have a point, but without numbers showing that late hours lead to significantly more trouble, it's just a guess. Maybe a good guess, but I've seen plenty of bad behaving drunks between 12:00 and 2:00.

I see these stories, I see these kinds of drunks in person, and I lament that alcohol has such a presence in people's lives that they drink way beyond the point that it's actually enjoyable. When getting drunk becomes its own purpose rather than enjoying yourself, the red line is crossed. It really makes me sad when I see people doing that. Everyone in my family was an alcoholic including me. Two of us recovered, and one died. Now, I rarely drink even a beer, but if I do, it might be one, it might be a few, spaced over the entire night, and never drunk. Each to his own of course, but many don't really know the risk they're taking with health and their behavior.

Anyone who would hit a girl (I mean a REAL girl haha) is an abject coward. I hope this girl doesn't lose her sight over something like this, a bunch of ldiots who can't drink responsibly and behave themselves.

Where have you been the last 40 years as women have been fighting for equality with men.

"Anyone who would hit a girl (I mean a REAL girl haha) is an abject coward."

You hold a very old fashioned, and patronising viewpoint. Many girls & women will fight back against a boy/ man and win.
