In a heartwarming twist of fate, Kamplaeng Singkulang, a 53-year-old resident from Buriram province, is celebrating a 6 million baht jackpot win, thanks to a moment of compassion towards a persistent lottery vendor.

Kamplaeng's life-changing win emerged from the April 16 lottery draw, after purchasing a ticket purely out of sympathy. While visiting her husband at a warehouse in Mueang Buriram district, she was approached by a lottery vendor. Despite her initial reluctance, citing a lack of lucky omens or dreams, Kamplaeng agreed to let the vendor, who seemed desperately in need, choose the ticket for her.

“She kept insisting and looked like she hadn’t sold anything,” Kamplaeng recounted. Her decision to help the vendor turned into an unexpected bonanza when her ticket turned out to be the top prize winner.

Faced with this unexpected windfall, Kamplaeng plans to use the funds for meaningful and practical purposes. She intends to complete the construction of her family’s home, clear outstanding debts, and save for her children’s and grandchildren’s education and daily needs. “I want to use this money wisely,” she stated. “It’s a blessing that came when I least expected it.”

Her story has quickly gained local attention, resonating with many who see it as a testament to the good fortune that can follow acts of kindness. Kamplaeng’s experience is a touching reminder that sometimes, good things come to those who give selflessly, proving that compassion and generosity can shape our lives in the most unexpected ways, reported The Thaiger.

Hope’s a funny thing. What’s the harm in buying a lottery ticket? Why not support the only game in town that sells you hope? Maybe one day, that ticket will hit. Maybe it’s foolish, but it’s the only game where I get to dream.
