A male pedestrian was killed instantly when he was struck by a car in the early hours of the morning of 18 April, in Bang Pla Ma district, Suphan Buri province. The fatal collision occurred opposite a PTT petrol station on Highway 340, inbound towards Suphan Buri.

At approximately 01:10 the Nehn Kaew Highway Rescue Association in Suphan Buri received a report from Bang Pla Ma Police Station about a serious road collision involving a pedestrian and a silver Honda sedan. Rescue volunteers were immediately dispatched to the scene in Moo 1, Salie Subdistrict.

On arrival, responders found the body of a man, believed to be between 55 and 60 years old, lying face down in the road. He had suffered major trauma, including a large open head wound, a deep gash to the neck, broken arms and legs, fractured ribs, and other abrasions. No identification documents were found on his person.

The vehicle involved, a silver Honda with Bangkok registration plate and was present at the scene. The exact circumstances leading to the crash remain under investigation by local police.

The deceased’s body was transferred to the forensic unit at Bang Pla Ma Hospital for a full post-mortem examination. Authorities are working to locate the man’s family so that religious funeral rites can be arranged.

Police from Bang Pla Ma Station are continuing their investigation into the cause of the incident.
