Popular Post Chris Daley Posted April 22 Popular Post Posted April 22 I once changed my shirt in the car because we just got it from the market. I looked out of the window and there were 4 people photographing me from the footbridge. You can't do anything here without a karen photographing you. 5

You definitely have to be careful as a foreigner. There's no way that you can think "Well the Thais do it this way, so I'll do the same". 1
Popular Post chrisbangkok Posted April 22 Popular Post Posted April 22 I was so outraged by this I had to stand there and film it for 15 minutes , deplorable behaviour. Regards Mrs M Whitehouse Patong. 6

jcmj Posted April 22 Posted April 22 Well if it was that bad then why weren’t the people filming it charged as well for making porn videos. It sounds like it should have been taken to a room, but I’m sure the local pervs got a good clip to keep them busy later. 1
Stevemercer Posted April 22 Posted April 22 All of the African woman I have seen in Thailand wear braids (or have natural braids). I guess she could be wearing a long straight black wig, but that is unusual. 1

Phil1964 Posted April 22 Posted April 22 Honestly. She's not straddled him and they're not naked either, so it's a kiss n cuddle with perhapd some groin rubbing going on. Nothing of note, other than the usual hypocrisy of Thais. 100yards away from where they're sat is one of Asia's biggest area of prostitution dens etc yet that's all okay. Perhaps these 'netizens' with nothing better to do should go find a job and a life.
Hanuman2547 Posted April 22 Posted April 22 From the two photos that are posted it is very difficult to tell just what is going on and if there is some lewd behaviour. As to the female, she doesn't look like an African with her long straight hair and light complexion. The man's leg appears to be darker than her. Maybe he is African??

Social media has been buzzing after photos and videos surfaced showing a foreign tourist couple engaging in an explicit public act on Patong Beach, Phuket. The pair, described as a man and woman of African descent, were reportedly seen in a compromising position early in the morning of 21 April, seemingly unfazed by the presence of other beachgoers. According to eyewitnesses and images shared online, the couple appeared to be involved in an intimate act for nearly 15 minutes on the public beach in Kathu District. Locals and tourists alike were left shocked by the brazen display, with many expressing disgust. Online commentary has been scathing, with users posting comments such as, “If you can’t wait, go to your hotel room,” and “Absolutely shameless behaviour – this is a public place!” Others remarked on the apparent lack of law enforcement presence, calling for heavier penalties for such offences. One local resident said, “It was truly obscene. We understand tourists want to enjoy themselves, but there are limits. This was completely unacceptable.” Authorities have yet to release an official statement, but public calls for fines or legal action against the couple are growing. This incident follows a string of reports highlighting unruly tourist behaviour in Thailand, raising concerns about the need for stricter enforcement and awareness campaigns about appropriate conduct in public spaces. Adapted by ASEAN Now from Amarin. -- 2025-04-22 It's common in the West. However, it would be good for foreigners to respect Thai culture
