Americans showed be VERY concerned about Trump - he has rendered the county one of the world's most unpopular along with N.Korea and Russia and is riding rough-shod over the constitution..

Why did Teddy Roosevelt hate America?

I guess opinions will vary based on preferred media and bias.  Many here already thought he was unhinged and glom onto any short term issue to reinforce that opinion.  Personally I have no idea.

I "think" he is trying to stave off the onrushing end of USA economy that has been building for over 30 years.  The continued borrowing and kicking the can down the road was reaching it's obvious conclusion of a USA crash with the associated world wide economic crash.  Instead of going with the flow they appear to me to be trying to fix the concept that the USA can borrow forever and be the worlds policeman and sugar daddy.  It wasn't gonna last much longer.

Is he fixing it?  Or hurrying the fall?  Above my pay grade.  I always knew something like this was coming only question I had was before or after I died?  Well, looks like I might live in interesting times.

Given that he's pushing not only to continue his tax cuts which were set to expire but actually increase them and he's had the IRS enforcement division staffing slashed, it really doesn't take a lot of thought to see where he wants to take America.

Well you've given me no reason to think so so far? I don't believe that  living in China qualifies you to judge something as vast and as differentiated as the Chinese economy

Well then....THINK ABOUT....THIS, why don't you.....

The very best thing the Chinese People could do for themselves, and for the world, would be to.....

Decapitate the Communist Party of China (CPC).

Can they do it?

They can.

Will they do it?

They DO have the will.

But, do they have the means?

This waits to be seen.

I am rooting for the People of China.

I believe they will do the right thing.

I KNOW that this is what they want.

But, will Xi begin to stir up Nationalism at this time, as he...

Always does?

This is not a JOKE comment, Sir.

This comment of mine is added as one from an EXPERT...of sorts....

Examples of Trump's unhinged policies:

1. The removal of funding from various universities and higher education institutions has led to scientific research into working on cures for various cancers, Alzheimer's, etc being shut down.

2. China is actively recruiting all those researchers, faculty members and students who have been laid off or had their job offers terminated.

'' Come to China, we'll build you that lab''.

Withdrawing from the WHO means America will be less able to deal with pandemics. Unlike immigrants, bacteria and viruses can evade borders easily.

The Paris Climate Accord is aimed at mitigating climate change. America can expect more natural disasters. Check your property insurance premiums.

The USA has a positive trade balance with Australia, who charges no tariffs on American imports. Please tell me how Australia is humping America.

IMO you are over-optimistic on the savings on government waste. IME any cost-cutting exercise results in overestimates of savings.

The real problem is the interest required to service debt. IIRC it's about $1.8 trillion per year, and increases as bond yields escalate.

Which is happening now, with a capital flight to the Swiss franc and Japanese bonds.

The WHO- dig into the truth behind that organization- follow the money.

Climate change- dig into weather modification.

Since July 2018, AUS imports of US- GST of 10% applies to sales of low value imported goods to consumers… the US reciprocal tariff ask is 10%. All this tariff stuff is beans, cogs… parts of the bigger picture.

The US debt, AUS debt… with what are we all indebted… who is winning here: central banks. What is the central bank of the central banks- Bank for International Settlements. No surprise what is happening with the almighty dollar… US currency hasn’t been backed by gold since Tricky Dick Nixon… central banks are the master. Every country has one or answers thereof… the owners all of the same bloodlines.

Follow the cash flow to these “noble” global institutions: WEC, WHO, PCA, UN, BLM, educational institutions, etc.

The truth is leaking all over the place and is no respecter of persons… either one knows, denies or ignores. Yesterday’s conspiracies are today’s headlines. Information wise Beyond Bravo-7 documentary is (surprisingly) on youtube for now as documentaries like these usually have a short shelf life before being suppressed.

Blue pill, red pill… it’s a choice.

Cheers.

Perhaps unhinged is the wrong term perhaps malignant would be more appropriate.

You seem to spend your time trying to defend the obiously indefensible strange that.personally I find it perfectly normal….nay duty to defend your country when you feel it being assaulted.

He won the election. You guys are sore losers.

Where's the fraud? You think if you keep making an empty allegation over and over again it becomes true?

As for tax cuts stimulating the economy and producing more revenue. That was promised for one tax bill from Reagan, two for George W. Bush,

and 1 far from Trump. In all 3 cases they added to to the national debt big time.

As for income tax being created as a temporary measure...the current income tax system  was authorized in constitutional amendment # 16 approved by 36 states. It was ratified on Feb 3, 1913. A constitutional amendment was enacted to authorize a temporary measure?

If for some bizarre reason you're referring to the income tax authorized for the Civil War, how is that relevant?

USAID & SSA payments as example for fraud/waste/abuse conversation- not the main point of my comments. You appear to be a clever fellow who could probably weed out fiscal FW&A if so inclined. All government spending is not legal and/or above board- seen it first hand.

The reference to income tax was to illustrate that it is not the end-all to the economy... if weeding out waste and restructuring are in play, reducing income tax on an already over-taxed population is feasible and beneficial.

If you are so inclined- I’m interested to hear your perspective of the central banking system-  past, present, future or whatever you’d like to add.

Cheers.

What do you know of the laws of thermodynamics, and how they apply to global warming and climate change?

His ego likely made him think that China would just fold to his demands, because that's what this is all about, containing them, but after his first term tariffs they learnt their lesson and started preparations to protect themselves.

While the US has been spending far beyond its means, China has been building its alliances, gold holdings, and alternative payments system to avoid dollar weaponisation, and diversifying its customer base. Now Trump sits desperately waiting for the phone call that never came and likely never will.

What has he got to show for his efforts?

Lost the Canadian market.

Boeing has lost their biggest customer for now. Maybe forever. Airbus and COMAC will step in.

US farmers have lost their biggest buyer of soybeans and hormone laced beef.

US industries are struggling to find new sources of rare earth minerals.

US car production is grinding to a halt without parts. Whatever car sales they had to China is gone.

The US forcing semiconductor companies ASMC and TSMC not to  sell to China has forced the Chinese to invest millions and develop their own chip industries, to the point that they have built their own chips and will soon no longer need to buy from Intel, AMD etc. Plus they will now compete against those US companies for sales.

The EU, Canada and other countries are looking at alternative arms industries for their weaponry.

The dollar is down. The markets are tanking. The US is looked at as unreliable and an authoritarian bullying State. Reputation and goodwill destroyed.

I could go on, but what's the point. Now the container ships have stopped, in a few more weeks the shelves will be empty, and he won't be able to hide it, or blame Biden any longer. Plus, there is still the threat that China could dump all its US Bond holdings.

You do a very good job summarizing the fact that Trump is a blazing and very, very dangerous imbecile.

Trump on debt:

‘There’s nothing like doing things with other people’s money’

“It’s called OPM. I do that all the time in business. It’s called other people’s money. There’s nothing like doing things with other people’s money,” Trump said. “Because it takes, the risk, you get a good chunk of it and it takes the risk.

Weather modification is a documented government program dating back to the 1970s. Several states have recently written legislation to ban it.

Who gains? Follow the money.

So blue pill then… got it.
