The hotel has not filed any formal complaint, and no legal action has been taken.

So bad that they could have pressed charges if wanting to.. The man had the right to be irate at the time as well as loud and angry. Any normal person would have been angry as well.

He's from Sri Lanka, not India. So do tell us all about Sri Lanka. You've obviously been all over the world, oh wise one.

The headlines and the 3rd word of the story says INDIAN

Very abrasive man. Had no intention of listening to an explanation. "Money money money makes you funny its a rich man's world". Clearly he was not rich!

I wasn't there, to hear the whole dispute, so I take the side of caution, here we have 2 parties which neither has English as a first language, any of us that have tried to understand Thais explaining things, even simple things, will understand the difficulties that arise, then we look at the culturally "excitable" Indians/Sri Lankans and we have a recipe for excitement.

So the headline was wrong, apparently. But he certainly sounded Indian. I understand there are many Indians living in Ceylon

The guy was obviously distressed about what had gone on with the credit cards. His emotions getting the better. However, the staff was offering very little help in confirming the mix-up. They seemed very happy for the guy to run out of steam before offering any info.

I think it was a big act trying to get free accommodation.   He could of been emotionally upset from the night before after saying goodbye to his lady boy friend
