What, just the two genders catered for?

No, they are for men and women, who are residents or tourists. 555

All this BS about sharing bogs with trans people will not matter because there is only one person at any one time in either of the cubicles.

Great idea. Now, charge for their use, limit the time to say 5 or 10 minutes. And inspect after each use for damage or leaving dirty. Sorted.

Good effort but....... The first up and last down steps look like a fall zone.  Handicap access???  And how many 100's of meters for anyone to walk to these mobile toilets.

An interesting idea.  Having been to Pats 15 times, I never had an issue finding some of those toilets behind many of the bars and paying 5 or 10 baht to use them.  But something along beach road in the few spots not particularly close to the side street bars might be reasonable.  I do not mind paying a reasonable price

How long will it be before some writes on the walls  " THERES NO USE STANDING ON THE SEAT CAUSE THE CRABS IN HERE CAN JUMP 6 FEET "

Have a rest in a comfortable atmosphere😂

I agree they would have to have a timer on them after say 5 minutes the aircon goes off , That will get em outa there.

Yeah but they will close at midnight. Do thet think that by midnight everyone is tucked into bed ??

Would have been nice to have them during high season not after. Let’s just hope they hold up til next high season. Instead of proud they should be embarrassed. They promised these months ago. I guess better late than never, but not going to help the late night crowd. 55 crowd

They would be very handy if you picked up one of the beachfront belles and didn't want to get a short time room you cou could have a nookie in the dunny.

Good idea, but only open until midnight, but what time do the bars close? What about all the late night "revellers"? - Where do they go when they are "caught short"? Maybe pee in the back of a songtau, or openly in the street causing on line disgust and "outrage"! 🙂

If they're kept as clean as the toilets at Jomtien immigration, we're all in for a treat. Disgusting blocked toilets with floater a plenty.

Accidents waiting to happen - look at those steps! And no wheelchair access? And signs saying "Men" and "Ladies" might help - at the moment they look like polling booths or changing rooms!

However, a "step" in the right direction!

......includes two restrooms for each gender.......

Single beds or queen size? (Asking on behalf of amorous foreign couples.)

Kudos to them. It's a step in the right direction.  Hopefully, they'll take some learning lumps and get better.

Have they done anything about the lack of trash bins?  It's been awhile since I visited Patts, but I recall carrying my empty water bottle for 15-20 minutes before I came across one.

Can I play a bit of "1-upmanship"?

"If you voted for Trump, you can't s**t here  'cos your a-hole's in Washington"

OR

"If you voted for Starmer, you can't s**t here  'cos your a-hole's' in London"

One must be fair, after all 😂

the idea is a total failure. When I visit Pattaya I see many handicapped Thais and Falang in wheelchairs. Absolute no consideration to any of them with this moronic idea. The mayor is an idiot. As quoted by him, "However, legal constraints and Marine Department regulations regarding coastal development led to a pivot towards mobile units.

"These can be easily relocated and still offer comfort and cleanliness," Mayor Poramet explained, highlighting the flexibility and practicality of mobile toilets".

The only solution is permanently built toilets up and down the beach walkway that also cater for the handicapped.

Can someone explain to me what the hell does this mean, "legal constraints and Marine Department regulations". It's what a politician might say because the cost is too high, I can only assume.

Family friendly resort my a..ss Tell the Maritime Dept to go f..k themselves and build permanent toilets. The water is already  a cesspool along that beach anyway with dead maritime fish🤪.

After dark, nobody can see you pooping in the bushes.
