Okay, so she states that she was initially given permission, so with whom is she arguing? She is a liar.

She arguing with another customer, the customer who made the video , edited the video and posted it online .

I expect that the other Customer has an agenda against Israelis

Has there ever been so much attention to a foreigner keeping their shoes on when going into a restaurant  in Thailand ?

I'm sure if they had acted the same way then they would have also gone viral.

Nick, she was referring to Thailand. So are you suggesting that the Thai customer has an agenda against Israelis? This attempt at defence of the indefensible....

She is the first foreigner EVER to go into a restaurant  wearing shoes ?

This is the first tome that its ever happen and that's why its being publicised ?

It's no longer about the shoes, but her disgusting behaviour subsequently. Which leads everyone to believe that her behaviour was disgusting prior to the filming.

Although I carefully examined those pictures I still haven't seen her feet!

They are too painful to be included in photos. Poor girl.

Totally agree. If the floor is spiky then you should keep your shoes on if your feet hurt, definitely. Spiky floors are bad.

On the off-chance the floor was smooth I am not so sure.

Decidedly flat floors are difficult to negotiate ! Ask Any Indian restaurant waiter ! (Rowan Atkinson brilliant Indian waiter sketch)

The person who posted the video mentioned the Gaza war and labelled the Israeli in the usual terms that people form the Palestinian side of the conflict use

How many times had been reported here that an Israeli tourist has skipped out on a bill best she has her next holiday on the Gaza strip they need a bit of a rebuild there

Try to not deflect from what she DID and what she SAID to the Thai person. The person filming and uploading is wholly irrelevant. Truth is truth. Why are you defending her reprehensible behaviour? Is it normal to you?

Not as often as some other nationalities. Where should they all go?

Listen to the other person in the video who says "You are not welcome here " to the Israeli

    That isn't a Thai accent

That's because more than one person was remonstrating with her. But she was definitely referring to Thailand, as she has admitting so herself. So...save it. She's repugnant.

Tourists money has actually massively helped to build Thailand .

The Thai economy relies on tourists money .

KPG would be a deserted island without tourists .

So, she does have a point when being told that she isn't welcome there

Targeted for being Jewish/Israeli .

Most probably instigated and filmed by an enemy .

Thais are usually non plussed about shoes being worn or removed

She also states that the restaurant owner was OK with shoes being worn .

Its quite likely that she was responding to some unsavory abuse unrelated to the shoe issue .

An example of what Israelis have to deal with and  a reason why they aren't always friendly to non Israelis

BS, targeted because the "my money build your country" attitude.

10 pages of comments on a cafe that takes the highly unusual step of asking customers to remove their shoes and one tourist objects. Oh I forgot, she comes from Israel. Let’s get another 10 pages of send her to Gaza crap in.

Where's the mention of Gaza? And she was called "an Israeli tourist". Is that what the Gazans call them now? I mean they kind of are tourists in their country although in a more permanent, illegally settled, way.

It would have been over in a single page if one particular poster stopped talking rubbish. (90% of the replies are to him and his weird fantasies (she was targeted because of her nationality, the person doing the videoing must be an enemy etc etc).

If he'd stopped digging his holes this thread would have fizzled out pages ago. But he keeps going and making new things up! I think he likes the attention.

Previous Israeli tourist topics provide evidence that’s just not true

BS. The Israelis travel in large groups often demoted platoons of 10 or 12 men and women so they all know each other and are easy and familiar with each other. They have also come from a war zone and shared  some negative experiences. They have been this way for decades, since I lived on the Kao San Rd in 1990 at least. They used to have two bars and restaurants where I used to eat when I wanted a changed from the usual places.

Platoons, huh?

I've observed many Israeli single male travelers and also families with children. You can make rough generalizations about any nationality, but no nationality is a monolith and neither are Israelis.

Ask yourself this.

If the shoes lady had been from Malta instead of Israel would people even be talking about this at all?

Not at all.

It isn't even news; it's just something for the knuckle-dragging heathens to whine about.
