In a coordinated operation, police have apprehended two individuals from Lampang and Phayao, identified as the administrators of an extensive online porn group, Boarding V.4. The group, attracting over 500,000 followers, was also found promoting online gambling sites to enhance engagement.

On 7th May, Police Major General Witthaya Sriprasertphap, head of the Investigation Bureau, ordered the arrests of 31-year-old Pongsakorn and 30-year-old Sittisak. They were charged with introducing obscene content into computer systems and distributing pornographic materials.

The arrests took place at Pongsakorn's residence in Mueang, Lampang province, and at Sittisak's home in Chiang Kham, Phayao province. Authorities confiscated a PC, three mobile phones, and three bank account books as part of the operation.

Investigations initially revealed that the Telegram group Boarding V.4 was sharing voyeuristic and non-consensual pornographic content, alongside discreetly advertising online gambling websites. Undercover efforts led to identifying Pongsakorn and Sittisak as the group's administrators.

Searches conducted with court authorization uncovered a slew of pornographic video files on computer hard drives and mobile phones, alongside various bank account books, all seized as evidence.

Upon interrogation, both suspects confessed to managing several pornographic pages and secret online groups on platforms including VK, Telegram, and Facebook. Combined, these groups enjoyed a substantial following of more than 500,000 people.

The duo admitted to acquiring most of the shared content from other secretive groups to amplify their reach and boost engagement. Their primary financial gain came from advertising online gambling websites to the vast audience.

Following their admissions, the suspects were handed over to investigators at the Mueang Lampang and Chiang Kham police stations for further legal proceedings, marking a significant step in curbing online distribution of illegal content and associated criminal activities.
