I'm living 'somewhere' by the sea in Thailand - see photo.  A 2km long beautiful sandy beach and I'm the only person on it....

None of the above. Moved here in 2011 for two years, now nowhere else I'd rather be.

Nearest sea swimming, 7.2km of beach, an easy cycle from home.

The guy who published this survey is too lazy, or shows a poor knowledge of the country!

Isaan... the largest region in Thailand, is not detailed. (e.g. Nakorn Ratchasima, Ubon Ratchathani, Kon Khaen, Udon Thani, Nong Khai, Buriram, other Isaan)

About one third of the voters in this survey live in Isaan. Well, 30% of the Thai population live in these 20 (out of 77) provinces.

I live in Loei, a remote place where people do not speak Isaan, but the Loei language (Laotian)…

Until 2017, I lived and worked in Chonburi, my house was in Sri Racha and my university was not far from Jomtien (Pattaya)…

Actually, given he just says 'the South', assuming that's PKK and down, that covers an area of over 2,000km2 , larger than Isaan (NE Thailand), bigger than CM/CR NW Thailand too.

Pattaya, been home since 2001, not sure how long I'm staying for, tooooo many foreigners now, it's no longer Thailand. Thinking of moving to Roi Et, beautiful city, nice people, not too many foreigners.

Keep your cards close to your chest.

About one hours drive south of Hua Hin I think, gained from previous messages.

More people live in the south than in Chiang Mai? That's crazy. Why would people live in the south instead of CM?

Because they can afford to.

Plus they do not smoke and so do not need the free fags (cigarettes) which are handed out for six months each year for free.
