My UK (DWP) was paid into my UK bank (Halifax Bank) every week without fail, until recentley when it has suddenely stopped, the last payment being 2nd May, has anyone else had this problem?

I thought maybe they (DWP) had put me onto monthly payments with bothering to infom me which under this shambles of a government we've now got, could well be!

Anyone any knowledge of this to put my mind at rest!

The most common reason I've heard of is that they know you live outside the UK and have mailed you a Proof of Life form.  You haven't recieved it so unable to return it and they assume you've popped off this mortal coil.

Call them and re-assure them you're alive.  Someone else who has been through this will hopefully be along soon to explain the details, or there's been a few threads on it recently if you can find them.

Thank you and others for your quick replies, would you know the email address you quoted by chance?

i try to avoid phone calls as my 86 yr old ears are not so good these days, so email would be a good start!

DWP don't quote an e-mail address.

Go to ...... https://www.gov.uk/international-pension-centre

Scroll down on that page a little to just underneath the bold 'Online' heading and you'll see 'online enquiry form'. Click and you'll see the form for you to fill in with your question.

However, a phone call would be MUCH, MUCH faster - replies to these forms can take weeks sometimes whereas the response to a phone call can be immediate.

Don't you have somebody that can make the call for you while you're there in the background to answer questions via your helper?

Telephone: +44 191 218 7777

Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm.

I have used the following email for contact with DWP. This was a coiple of years back when I also had issues with delayed payments.

"TVP.INTERNATIONALQUERIES(at)DWP.GOV.UK"

Response time was, i believe, a couple of working days. So not too bad.

Got it sorted finally by phone (although the email address by "ppguy" looks promising) after a fairly long wait finally got through to a lady with a Newcastle accent who went through a check list and fialy accepted i was still alive, as others have mentioned it appears to be a proof of life form that i never received!

So i would like to thank everybody again, that provided very helpful advice that put me on the right track.

Just waiting now for missing paymets to appear on my UK bank account, (fingers crossed) will be checking everyday of course!

So they accepted your phone call as being the necessary proof that you were still in the land of the living in lieu of a fresh Life Cert? I distinctly recall someone else on here who called them recently but was told that he still had to submit a paper Life Cert by snail mail! A case of left and right hands at the IPC, it would seem.

Yes, the georgie woman excepted my phone call after going through many checks, then finally said ok it should take a couple of days for the money to arrive in my UK account, though i'm told it's more than a couple of days!

I was told by someone who knows of someone else who sent his proof of life certificate to the wrong address and wondering why there was no answer back, got in touch with them and was told that his state pension was now being stopped.

I read on the DWP website that they cannot reduce or stop your state pension. So what is it really, what can the DWP really do or not do regarding  your state pension?

They can stop your pension if you're dead.

But if they make a mistake, and you're not dead, they have to make up the payments.

Best to be 'living in the UK' where no proof of life forms are required.

Perhaps when you are dead, but Def not when alive,by law each OAP has to receive a pension.  It's govt wish that dictates a frozen pension, carried out by int pensions dept.,  personally I have no wish to abide by UK govt policy or wishes.pity those that have frozen pensions persuaded by jealous idiots who themselves have been bogged down by being frozen and at wits end at lack of resources, stay away from the ipc for your own future

My chums pension was stopped, never got the LC form, I had to get on the phone to DWP and sort it between us. We were given an extra 10 weeks to send a form back, but his payments were reinstated after sorting it.

It wasn't easy as my chum is on his last legs to answer questions........🤕
