That one is in Birmingham - according to the article......

Cricklewood is in North London............and used to be a bit of a ....hole. No idea what it is like now but seems a strange place for a foreign leader to visit.......

Staples Corner to be a bit more exact. Or nearly Staples Corner.

  • Any chance of her popping into the Red Bull tent at the Monaco F1 race ?

  • Ohh it's a shopping trip then ..................LOL

  • This trip sounds more like the PM is becoming a tourist rather than going there to promote Thai tourism.  I am curious her choices as to why she feels she can do a better job at promoting tourism

How many of the population do you need to diddle out of their promised 10,000 Baht payout to be able to afford to host an F1 Grand Prix?

It’s a PR thing. The second place clearly regards smooching with F1 bosses about the prospect of a city race in Thailand, however daft that may sound. Why the PM? Why not? There are also tourism departments in other countries, but having leaders, royalty, public figures etc wave the flag and push cultural agendas can make a difference.

It's not as though she has any responsibilities in Thailand itself, as they are managed by her father. Interesting how many foreign trips are taken by Thai prime ministers. Srettha had quite a record, (15 trips to 12 countries in his 7 months in office) so I presume she has to beat that before she hands on the reins to the next appointee.
