Do they warm it up in the wave for you too.

They will put absolutely anything in the Wabe for you in Sebb-Benn in Thailand. Not in Jay-Pan though.

The demise of girly bars throughout Thailand has been caused by the incessant need by the bar girls to use their mobile phones . Never had that years ago .  Only seem really interested in capturing customers to drink in their bar and to get bought a lady drink at high prices . Also far to many lady boys .

Nana Plaza is a sh*t hole, why would anyone care what the best bar is.

because there is a sad, lingering demographic out there that are trying to keep the memory of a long-gone Thailand alive.

Still drink in the Soi occasionally (Chequers, Bus Stop and still mourning Jools) many years since I've been in the Plaza but I like to see that it's there.

Sorry to see Jimn's comment but madone has a good point.

And here's me thinking that the women and the businesses had become so incredibly mercenary that it is impossible to sit down in a beer bar without getting rinsed for lady drinks that are 3 to 4x more expensive than your beer.

I had my best Sukhumvit Road experience in After Work, in Sukhumvit Square, but when I went back, it had gone - Sukhumvit Square.  That caused me to build up a resentment against men with sledgehammers, though as one such myself, that is perhaps hypocritical.

As you may recall, back in the day, there was a DIY shop just down from Piccadilly Station, and I'd popped in there as I had some fencing to do at the weekend.  They didn't have epees or rapiers, but a sledgehammer was more appropriate for the fencing I had n mind.

It's interesting that you only notice the gaps and errors in your recollection when you put your story to words...

I guess I went to Picadilly platfoms 13 & 14 on the way home, and not Oxford Road (that was the gaffer tape and batteries incident....) anyway, as I came down the stairs with my newly-bought sledgehammer, there was an announcement about train delays, and someone next to me looked at the sledgehammer and said "Calm down, mate, its not that bad!"
