From shooting star to fallen star...

The problem with  shooting  stars is they burn out.

The reason for wording could be different charges

Okay, so you're a Thai music officiando. You really have attended an average of 40 Thai concerts a year? Anyway, what's your thing against Sek Loso? Loso was a wildly popular act for several years - surely you would agree. I didn't know Carabao was a yellow shirt. I 'thought' he had moved to Philippines for a while to get out of Thailand, but I could be mixing him up with someone else.

Over 100 concerts some years. Carabao went to be educated in the Philippines, his dad was actually a luktung band manager and family middle class, from Suphanburi, home of many early luktung singers. Singers are judged in part by their conduct and attitudes, those who knock women about, take drugs and get involved in crime are not generally liked, even though the music may be popular. Such such is the case here, IMO.

Wow, that sucks. Didn’t know he was a headbanger like that.
Strange ruling though: 2y, 12m, 20 days. Why not just say 3y, 20d? Or perhaps 1y, 24m, 20d, or 36 and a bit months, or 1115 days even?

Def. NOT a headbanger! Borderline bubblegum music.

This makes me really sad.  When I started coming here in 2012 I started getting into the music because it was fun to be out with friends at the local hangs and know the words.  The girls used to seem to dig it too.  Reminds me of a really fun time in life.  The bands in those early days were so good

Considering his violent past, not just in this case they had little option but to jail him.

Yep, talented and has performed all over the world.

My friend was his drummer for several years so I've been to a few gigs backstage. Nice guy, very approachable, (forget about his later transgressions), and definitely very talented.

Ah, here's an interview with my mate about the journey: https://headlinerhub.com/bankok.html

Why hero worship a man who has attacked women, a hard drug user and thug just because they can play the guitar and sing after a fashion? He is not a nice guy, if he had been he would not be where he is now. Performed all over the world, hardly, but at the Lincoln centre in New York in 2006 hit another performer on the head with a shoe, very disrespectful. He has serious mental, emotional and drug issues that need sorting out, his wife did try. Lets hope prison helps him work his problems out.

Get off your high horse. Hero worship? I just said he was talented and approachable, I didn't apologise for his actions outside of music as they are not defendable.

It's not even a style of music I like, but I respect his talent.

Now pipe down with your faux moral outrage.

You said he was a nice guy, on what evidence, guitar skills?  Did not realise you were a a poster who was authorised to tell others what they can say. People are too fond of excusing performers defects and crimes just because they have had some success. He is definitely not a nice guy, despite being talented.

I said, exactly, "Nice guy, very approachable, (forget about his later transgressions), and definitely very talented."  Emphasis added.

Get it now? He was nice, friendly and approachable on the occasions I met him. His future transgressions were not included in that summing up.  Got it, now? Do you need a hand climbing down off that horse?

So what were you doing backstage to see a performer of music you did not even like? His later transgressions were not 'later' they have continued through out is troubled life resulting in this latest prison sentence. I know for a fact from other Grammy artists he was considered a prima donna and difficult to appear with. I will leave you with your superficial impressions of your back stage encounters.

I went because my friend played drums and asked me to go. I was there more to see my friend than Sek. I also - you may find this hard to believe being as uptight as you are - thought it might be fun. Plus my girlfriend was a fan so it was a good experience for her.

Thank you. And I will leave you to look down on us all from your ridiculously tall horse.

Touchy sort you are, you can't abide somebody else's opinion. I have met literally hundreds of Thai performers back stage, they are always 'nice' it's part of Thai music culture. I could never be with somebody that liked different music, bet you are not still together 😊

Well deserved sentence, better late than never. Something of a one hit wonder. Hope he gets something out of his time in prison, a few songs maybe.

Trumper ignorance on display again, what a dopey (see what I did there?) thing to say. If all you know of him is that vid, again, pure ignorance.

I've seen him in BKK clubs a couple times, packed houses, awesome guitarist. Musicians and drugs, hello!!! Wow, first one ever..............take the guns away and give him six months seems more fair.

Trump has nothing to do with this convicted thug, his musical abilities are not involved either. Very few Thai musicians are involved with drugs, Loso was a perfect name to take on. I know a lot more about him than you do, who saw him 'a couple of times'.
