Authorities are intensively searching for the suspect responsible for the murder of Aunchuree Wongmueang, a 36-year-old nurse found dead in her welfare accommodation on Koh Samui, Surat Thani province. The grim discovery was made today, May 21, by her colleagues after they failed to reach her and decided to check her room using a spare key at Green Park Village.

 

Inside, they found Aunchuree lying lifeless on her bed, clad in only black underwear with a white T-shirt tied around her neck, indicating strangulation. Apart from the signs of strangulation, no other injuries were apparent on her body. An empty box of condoms was the only notable item discovered by officers from Bor Phut Police Station as they combed the scene for evidence.

 

Adding to the mystery, Aunchuree's grey Nissan sedan, with registration plate 2กศ 0749, was missing, leading police to suspect that the perpetrator might have used it to escape.

 

Employed in the documentation department at a local hospital, Aunchuree was known by her colleagues as a friendly and well-regarded individual without any known work-related disputes. She lived alone in the employer-provided welfare accommodations, being originally from Bangkok's Sai Mai district.

 

A neighbour revealed to police hearing a scream from Aunchuree's room around 2 a.m. after she had returned home twice, firstly at midnight and then again at 2 a.m., but the cry for help wasn't investigated further at the time.

 

Current police theories on the motive range from personal disputes, including possible adultery or theft. To facilitate their investigation, officers are meticulously reviewing CCTV footage from the surrounding area to track Aunchuree's vehicle and identify potential suspects.

 

The case has sent ripples across Koh Samui, prompting an increase in local vigilance as the community mourns the loss of a beloved nurse, while police work diligently to bring the perpetrator to justice.

If I heard a scream I would go and investigate what puzzles me how was it known that she went out at midnight and what has a box of condoms got to do with the case are they part of the police investigation ! My prayers are with the deceased and her loved ones I  hope that whoever did this killing is apprehended as quickly as possible RIP

I’m surprised nobody went when they heard the screams. Sad sacks of 💩. They will pull out their phone if there is an accident or fight, but I guess they don’t like to get involved with other people fighting or being killed. When you hear a scream run to it not away from it.

The journalist will stick carefully to what he has been told by the police.

 

About 20 years ago, whenever the police came across a deceased person in their hotel room or apartment, they would always report if and how many empty bottles of alcohol there were and the contents of the ashtray. They would also draw some pretty remarkable conclusions based on that.

 

As there were apparently no empty bottles of beer and ashtrays are out of vogue, an empty condom box will do.

 

It's simple and easy and who is going to contradict them.
