Dear Folks,

For some time now, I have noticed, or I think I have noticed, a rapid shift in the demographics of employees working at Google.

image.png.08049966ed5be35f8946425ac7b8d3ab.png

Simply put, we seem to be seeing the Indianification of this once great company.

What are the implications for users?

Why is this happening?

Are you happy that Google is becoming a company run by Indians, and possible FOR Indians?

Maybe there are just too many Indians in India, and more are coming soon.

The population of India is still increasing. Will our future world be run by Indians and in their Image?  I prefer Chinese culture.  I would prefer to have Google run by the Chinese, a people I can easily identify with.  I LIKE the Chinese. But, the Indians? Well, why should I even answer this question?

This transformation at Google has been happening for some years, now.

Is this transformation unstoppable?

Soon we may reach a point where we might just as well move the Google Headquarters to Bombay?

Bombay is a decent gin, but I wouldn’t want to live there.  Would you?

Best regards,

And, maybe I should have learned Indian, instead of Chinese,

Gamma

Microsoft too i believe. You dont want to be working for a company ran by them

There is rampant price discrimination, too, I have noticed.

For example, it seems that Indian users of SuperGrok pay less than 25 percent of what I would need to pay.

Maybe this pricing is being run by the Indians?

This is a two-tier pricing model based on what culture one is from.

Nobody likes two-tier pricing.

But, I can guess that the Indian Culture finds this completely normal.

I think it is now far too late to turn the tide and return to the good old days of about a decade ago.

There seems to be this strange idea prevalent that the modern world in which we live should be a homogeneous world.

That would be OK with me if it was homogeneously Chinese.

But not Homogeneously Indian Culture, I would add.

I do not think of all cultures the same.

I am therefore not an idiot in this respect.

Some people have a hard time accepting reality.

They would prefer to live in their own dream worlds.

A lot of the online scammers seem to be based in India too. All these companies using Indians. Seems to say a lot about their education levels and computer skills.

Indians are big believers in DEI, of only the indian variety. Meaning the tech industry is going down the <deleted>ter, with the poop ending up on the street not in the toilet

"I think it is now far too late to turn the tide and return to the good old days of about a decade ago."

So from as user perspective what has changed from "the good old days" until today?

"There seems to be this strange idea prevalent that the modern world in which we live should be a homogeneous world."

Yes, particularly among the MAGA crowd this is a cherished idea.

"That would be OK with me if it was homogeneously Chinese. But not Homogeneously Indian Culture, I would add."

Really?? You would be OK living in a world that was homogeneously Chinese? Sounds boring, I would rather live in a heterogeneous culture. You could in fact call me a raging hetero!

"I do not think of all cultures the same. I am therefore not an idiot in this respect."

No, it would definitely NOT be boring.

And, it would be a good world of Confucian values.

Culture is important to me.

The culture I prefer, above all others, is Chinese culture.

Indian culture?

No thank you....

But this is just a matter of taste.

You have your taste, and I have mine.

I would not impose my values on you, unless you break the laws of the land.

Culture is something deeply  ingrained in all of us.

The typical Indian is unable to change his cultural bent any more than a REAL Englishman, for example.

American culture, too, is a real thing.

BUT, if we have the Indians in charge of Google.

This will be really bad for the world, if only from a cultural perspective.

(Also, this is truly something new and never-before seen....)

Fantastic. So again, from as user perspective how has Google changed from "the good old days" a decade ago until today?

And you seem utterly confused. I wish you a speedy recovery.

No surprises he is recruiting from his birth country.

Exactly, but the problem seems to be that they move to San Fransisco and poop in the streets!

I live here and that not the reputation they have. On the contrary, many of them seem so desperate for female company that they pool their resources to share one.

Too many ways to list here.

For a starter, just begin with the ways that Google search has now become a Google-Shopping Site.

Everybody knows this.

Just Google it.

But, if your life revolves around shopping, then Google has improved for you on the search side.

There are many other changes even more objectionable.

I will say that Google Drive is still quite good, as it always was.

Also, Google Docs, Sheets, and especially Google Translate is still good and getting better.

If you want a list of negatives about how Google has changed, then i suggest you ask Grok, or SuperGrok.

Google Maps, Google Earth, Youtube. All great apps. My main concern is that it's become way, way too dominant.

And no, I'm not gonna ask Grok anything since it has been lobotomized.

Yes.

No surprises.

But...WRONG for the USA and the UK.

This will be harmful to the world.

Wait and see.

Each culture is different.

This can be good.

And this can also be very bad.

Exactly. For Americans they've bought this is wrong and then when others come they seize the opportunity to take as much as they can for themselves and their families. It's well documented when an Indian manager comes in they fire all the other people and re-hire other Indians.

In fact right now the mayor of Chicago is being accused of race based hiring. It's all groups except white people that do this.
