Endoscopy and colonoscopy package - Bangkok recommendations, plz

I've never been there, but a couple of my friends highly recommend Bangkok Hospital.  My last one was done at Bumrungrad, but it was expensive; although, the care was 1st class.

Check package prices with hospitals, including bangkok christian hospital.

Also, if your doctor knows somebody at chulalongkorn, check if they can do it.

It will be cheaper.

I really liked the service at Bumrungrad last time. You change clothes and then get a private little room with an easy chair, a TV and a toilet. They bring you all the stuff you have to drink at tell them when your "stool" is clear. Very easy, and about as pleasant as one could hope for.

The previous scan (also at Bumrungrad) they gave me the stuff to take home, to drink at home and come in after the stool is clear.  That was not a pleasant experience.

If cost is a big concern, I would use a different hospital, but I would only use one that uses the system described in the first scenario.

The doctor was great. Had trained in the US and spoke excellent English.

Looks like bummer is up to B42,900 for the package. I'm thinking I paid B38K when I had it a few years ago. Not too bad given it's only every ten-year if they do not find anything.

Are you admitted for the process?  My insurance will cover but only if I'm admitted

Normally it's an outpatient procedure.

Camillian is pretty nice as I remember. My wife was there for prenatal care, but ended up having to transfer to Bangkok Hospital because the baby was six weeks premature.

Doing it without the anesthesia is better, I think.

You seriously do not want a colonoscopy without anesthesia.

Gastroscopy also unpleasang (choking sensation) ,but nowhere near as bad.

The Camelluan price is sbout as good as it getd private hospital wise.

37.4k package at MedPark.

Colonoscopy can be gotten at Chulabhorn (govt hospital) for under 10k but I am not eure they will do a gastroscopy on demand. Unlike colonoscopy   gastroscopy is not reommended for routine screening).

Without anesthesia was a bad choice of words. When I had my first colonoscopy, I'm not sure what they gave me, but I hardly felt it, and they did not knock me out. I was able to watch on a large display as the camera snaked through my colon. The doctor was a bit creepy, but I liked watching it.

Samitivej Hospital on Sukhumvit 49 have a dedicated endoscopy department using the latest Japanese technology. It is very popular and gets quite busy so you need to make an appointment.
