Just in case you are in the same situation as me.....

Received the SMS and emails to say that on July 1st I would received a user id/password email.

Nothing.

Contacted the help desk via the KOL website - 'contact us'.

They said to call 1572.

(Then press 2 then 4 then 3.)

Called 1572,  they answered quite quickly, and after a discussion, a wait, and another discussion, she said to go to my local branch and ask them.

She then added, if they do not know what to do, tell them to call us and we will tell them???

The help desk also explained that I did not have my personal account moved to a Biz account on 1st July because I am over 70 years old!!!

Soooo I trotted off to my local branch.

After the usual one hour wait, I was called to the counter.

I explained the situation.

Lots of questions back and forth and the girl eventually said - call head office.

I explained that head office said that you might say that and that you should call them and they will explain the solution to you.

She called head office.

The result.......

I can use the existing KOL personal website until 30th September.

I will then receive a user name/password on the 1st October for the Biz online website..

Maybe. (I will still be over 70 years old :whistling:)

See my post 08.41 of yesterday.

All Krungsri branches have been notified that there are no age restrictions to apply for Biz online.

Complete, sign and print the form and take to any Krungsri branch.  Your username and temp password will arrive within 7 days.

If the branch have a problem, ask them to call the Biz online team on 1572.

I HATE that... I HATED it too when SCB recently did the same thing.   I really dislike trying to do personal banking stuff on a mobile phone screen. I'd 100% rather be doing it via my person

Well, I went to my branch on Tuesday to get mine sorted out. It seems I opened the Krungsri app on my old phone, (in 2020, although I never remember doing so, or ever using it*), and didn't delete it, so when I tried to open it on my new(ish) phone it stated I already had the app, even tough it never showed in my apps list. Anyway, now sorted. So I have the Krungsri app, plus I have a Krungsri Biz app (for a joint account), so I couldn't add the sole account to that. *I'm only a spring chicken 68 year old, although memory seems to be a failing; what happens after I turn 70 is anyone's guess.

The only issue I have with the Krungsri app is I cannot read a transaction list for say 6-12 months, (as is possible with online banking). Maybe something I haven't yet mastered, and reluctant to eff around with it, as apart from anything else, it has my IMM 800K dosh in it, which I don't want affected.

You will be able to use the Biz app even after 70, despite their blurb and what they say. My partner is 71 and it worked perfectly; others too have reported successful opening of Biz app even though they are 70+.

Noted, per my comments, above just now. Tks.

Other than Bangkok Bank and Krungsri Bank, are there any other banks that still allow online banking at home through a PC?

I know SCB doesn't. That's why I closed my account there over a year ago after banking with them for over 15 years.

Kasikorn has online that they now call K Biz. My saving accounts were automatically transferred some time ago.

Thank you!

I've been banking with Bangkok Bank for over 15 years, but the recent horror stories of them freezing accounts of foreigners for months when they get an immigration letter and statement for visa renewal has me spooked.
