The human pyramids of needs

Maslows theory and some basic psychology will take you a step further. Why so many girls ends up in prostitution is complex even humans basic needs are straightforward and easy to understand

So about 21% and mostly an Issan thing.

No, likely 37% or more by now, as things like this don't turn around, and increasing everywhere. Every woman I've ever known here has friends that are working elsewhere with the kids home with grandma. In my village, the percentage is about right, and the school is filled with single mothers and those with grandma. This is an ingrained thing, where most everyone accepts it, thinking it's okay to do. it isn't, and is one huge reason so many children are killed on scooters daily and are into drugs, alcohol and cigarettes very young here.

The percentage is still a fraction of the women here. Most get into it because of childhood abuse and neglect. Some are forced by parents to send more money home, allowing their daughters to be hookers because they only care about the cash they'll get. Many are forced into it by boyfriends or traffickers, with some being addicted to drugs to weaken their resistance. Very few of normal childhoods and thinking will become prostitutes.

Here's an example; I conducted business lectures at a high profile uni in Bkk for several years. The faculty of sociology shared the same professors lounge / lunch room etc.

We often sat with the sociology professors for lunch and at times they shared some comments about their latest research. Some of their comments were sad and disturbing. e.g. they spoke to children living upcountry with grandma and many time children said things like 'Yes I have a mother but I haven't seen her for a long time and I forget what she looks like'.

A big land and falang house countryside is not bad marketing for the neighborhood. It says travel to Pattaya, meet a rich farang and take him home.

This have been going on for 65 years soon now. Just last year or year before, a 20 year about 45kg brown little toy went off to Pattaya, returning 2 months later, built house and new car to mommy, back to Pattaya waiting for visa to Australia.

Some families bragging about big sin sods, monthly transfers, gold, birthday, moms days, big money for buddha/temple donations

And those who do not succeed, are the loosers in the village.

Thais are their own enemies

The people that stay at their rural homes are happier than the ones chasing money. 10 years later at my wifes home in the country, the same people are there and smiling, nothing changed. Bangkok people have changed alot though

Can this be applied to ALL bargirls? Are they all the same? 🤔

No, but they are similar.

It takes a certain type of character to choose to rent out your genitals to thousands of foreigners

Do your parents have much to do with raising their grand daughter?

Life is easier in the villages as long you got money to pay bills.

Not all parents chasing status to make up for their girls making money from farangs.

Do you think they actually care? Her mom had 11 children, and there's a reason people do this, especially here, but it didn't work out as planned. Having that many children, which is almost impossible for two parents to handle correctly, is impossible when you have a mean, abusive father that's rarely home, and a narcissistic mother who pushes the previous child away to take care of the next, and the next, and the next, until they're all left to basically fend for themselves and stuck in the babysitter building, schools, so they can take care of one or two that are still infants. Lack of a loving environment turns the children into narcissists themselves.

One sister, who actually lives there in an outbuilding with her daughter, had her son go to jail for 7 years distributing meth, and before that, getting caught with guns 3 times, subsequently bailed out by grandma to get him home, so he never learned a lesson,.

One son, who is 25, still sleeps with mom, and spends the day talking to himself, laughing non stop. A nephew, who's lived there since 2, can't read Thai and didn't go to school. His dad took off with the then mother to Bangkok to work. He's a drug user and poisons animals around their house and mine.

My ex hates her mother because she knows how she was raised. Told me everything about her childhood, and was constantly at odds with her mother until this day. Her mom likes me, and told my girlfriend when she came to my house that "her daughter was wrong, he treated my daughter very well and helped us all the time."

My parents died years ago. My daughter has 5 siblings and other relatives back home, who are much more concerned about her welfare then those that live here, who only gather to take selfies to show off on Facebook how much they love each other. BS.

Its nothing to do if they work in a bar or not.I seen bargirls who don't care about their kids. But i also see girls working in an office etc etc who don't care.

Im sure 99% of the bargirls is a really loving mother who would take a bullet for their kids at any time.

Some uneducated, very naive parents are convinced by procurers that it's all OK, goof job as a waitress, clothes provided, good food, cash salary and more.

Many of these parents have never been more than a few kilometers away from the village where they were born and have zero knowledge of the world.

No wonder you don’t like Thais and Thailand much.

Sounds terrible.

Dont really get much of that sort of situation down here in Phuket. Since your wife isn’t really interested in her kids anyway why don’t you move down here?

It really is nice. Beach and ocean looks beautiful at the moment.
A lot more international kids for your daughter to play with and some good schools.

You keep confusing me with others, and forgetting what I've said previously. I never said I didn't like Thais or Thailand. Thailand is okay, just not for me with my hobbies, and not for my daughter's future. My daughter is half Thai, and my girlfriend is Thai. I only have problems with prejudiced people of any nationality, plus scammers and abusive people. I have a house here until she gives me money for it or I sell it. My daughter is in school here, and until we leave, that's some stability as she can at least learn something she can use in her future, math. I like the beaches, but this is where I'll be until we leave.

It's quite a dumb question. They are not kept women. Most had children before they entered bar service and took on the work in a desperate struggle to support their children AND their family. Most are uneducated and don't have many options, and often they are pushed into this work by their parents.

Whatever you may think of them as SINGLE mothers, did you not consider how good the fathers are? The men who p*ssed off and left the mother with all the responsibilities.

I'm joking. I had 4 when I lived in Texas, mostly by myself, especially the last 9 years before they all left the house. Unlike my ex's mom and dad, I didn't hit my kids nor pawn them off to anyone, and was active in their schools.
