BritManToo Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago 40 minutes ago, Harrisfan said: Saw this advertised. How does it compare with English one? I frequently attend Auf Der Au German buffet breakfast in Chiang Mai (250bht). Lots of sausages and ham, lots of different dark breads, no fried or scrambled eggs or bacon. I like the fried fish in breadcrumbs as well. Here's one I ate earlier ........ 1

KhunBENQ Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago Bread/rolls, cold cuts, cheese, jam (no orange😄), boiled egg (other styles ok), coffee and juice. The quality of bread is essential and hard to find even in Pattaya. Cheese being expensive so here you get the most basic stuff. Not on a German breakfast: sliced and roasted white bread although often seen for cost reasons, beans, grilled sausage, hash browns etc. For convenience I mostly go for English in Pattaya. German not many in central Pattaya. At home have proper handmade rye bread and rolls. Cold cuts and cheese from delikatessen shopping. Generally I think English breakfast is easier to do in Thailand except for the sausage that can vary widely in quality. 1

It's a carb fiesta Fine for someone going out to burn that off, but mostly looks like it sits around the mid section of most Brits
FolkGuitar Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Aud der Au's buffet makes for a delicious German breakfast/brunch on a Sunday morning! Good variety and good value for the price. I don't normally eat wheat products or sugar so I miss out on all the great breads, pastries, and sweets. 1 1

I agree. My usual everyday breakfast at home is a package of cold cuts, a block of cheese, and a handful of Kalamata olives. While Auf der Au does have a nice selection of deli meats, I tend to stick to the cooked dishes; various sausages, braised pork leg, chicken in different presentations, and plenty of different salads! 1
