Hi, and yes, I understand that the balance has transferred over to Team and yes can not buy any more credits and can still use the credits, as the numbers have been transferred also.

Can anyone recommend sites which deal with using a home computer to call UK landlines and some seem to offer only mobiles and do not want a  huge subscription but pay as you go.
Thanks all and seeing a few like Mytello and before yesterday was highly recommended but no way will be using them.

I had the same problem, as with "Teams" I wasn't able to call landlines.

The only options I found to call from Thailand to a landline in Europe were from my mobile to landline.

I tried the apps "Yolla" and "Viber". Prepaid 10US$. The connection seemed a bit better on Viber, but that always can differ.

 

Of course they want you to give them all your datas (contacts etc.) I refused that. So I have to type every time the number again in manually.

 

If you or somebody else finds a better solution, let me know.

Costs with Viber were about the same as with Skype...

Thanks for your input and yes noticed my 3 numbers got transferred to Team but not yet used it as Proof of living and other pension stuff not due yet but was asking what options after the balance goes and that is that can not top up.

I find it useful when calling toll-free numbers in the U.S., e.g. banks and offices  that have a 800 number as the call appears to be treated as a free U.S. call so my balance is not drawn down.

I find that the form search function is not very good. I find googling what you want with aseannow.com in the search to find topics much better.

I think there are a few services much like Skype, most of which require either buying a virtual number or paying for a subscription.

For international phone calls try MYTELLO. Their call rates are very competitive.

I think the best replacement app for international calls from Thailand and from the UK is "Yolla".  I use it from both and top up from both using local Bank cards.  Charges are easy to understand, it just works and for SMS as well.

Said before, but will say again. Look at 'Mytello'.1 TB to UK land lines and 1.5TB to mobiles. It is also possible to set up Mytello in the UK to make calls world wide. WHATS NOT TO LIKE?

I had Skype until its credit balance went to zero.

Now use Rakuten Viber Out call call and video. It can be put on PC but requires a mobile phone with the app. The mobile phone directory is linked to the PC app and new call numbers are added in the mobile phone. I can call toll free numbers in US and call/receive numbers from a dozen other countries.

I got the app “mytello” put 250 baht on it currently have 213 baht remaining even tho this past week I must have spent a good hour pluscspeaking to UK government offices the quality was superb and unlike Skype your credit never runs out Happy Days !!!!!

I didn't either till last Friday. Now rings, answer and drops out. Like there is no credit, subscription still valid 2 months 

Open phone looks good, but can't verify without a USA or Canada number, can't be virtual number.

Comment about Viper is correct and probably good.
