If you were not a Richard Cranium I would ask you to prove it. So please ignore this post.

Ok, ignored.

Just curious did you take your shirt off, make a face like a lunatic and actually take that picture yourself? Seems like an odd thing to do but A+ for effort if so.

Not him, but it is interesting to consider what his avatars say about him.  His previous one was an overweight bald man gurning in an equally weird way.

Seeing as his comments are typically designed to aggravate others, it would seem he has a theme.

They seem to suggest he would like to get close to people's faces and scream at them, which is kind of what his comments do.  Sort of a, "I want to mess with people" kind of vibe.

or just making noise? and a nuisance

Lots of nuisance, noisy members here.

I've learnt not to interact, or do so very, very seldom.

These days I only comment to the OP or article.

Avoid interaction at all costs.

If you choose to interact, it will turn your good day into bad.

Isn't your above post an interaction?

Yes, didn't I say I only interact with the article or OP?

Put your glasses on mate 😂

Too many here sat behind their warrior keyboards just looking for an argument.

Why the ageist theme in the OP?

There seem to be younger members who fit the spec too.

Yes, I suspect that most of the older members who behave like that have been that way their entire lives...it's just who they are.

It’s hard to ignore — in almost every discussion, there’s always that one member who seems to:

  • Moan endlessly

  • Nitpick over trivial details

  • Correct everyone else

  • Remind us (again) how much more they know

It’s like some people hit a certain age and suddenly feel compelled to point out every flaw, as if it keeps them relevant. And when they’re not correcting, they’re complaining — about how things used to be better, how we’re all doing it wrong, or how "kids these days" have it easy.

So let’s ask the real question:

Is this about wisdom — or insecurity?
Do some older members just need to feel heard, or feel smarter, because they’re scared of becoming irrelevant in a world that’s moved on?

Not all older people behave this way, of course — some bring real value.

But others seem to thrive on being condescending for sport.

So, if this is hitting close to home... maybe ask yourself:
👉 Are you sharing wisdom, helping people — or just making noise? and a nuisance

Not sure if age is the factor which affects the way we respond on AN. More likely most people simply react to issues with which they have become familiar during their lifetime.

Plenty of evidence on here every day that shows clearly that the negatives are not the preserve of the older ones!

I think 90% are hermits. Abusing people here is a daily highlight.

Well youngster, from your post it appears that you have been bruised up by the experience of the wise and are here expressing your insecurities by making issue of it.

Ya' sort of hung the tail on the donkey novacova. 😆🤣
