Could anyway please recommend as soon as possible an immigration agent to sort out a problem preparing and making a TM 30 application and also a TM 47 App as well.

Would like the agent to do both applications on my behalf.

I am based in Bangkok and deal with CW office.

I have explained all in the other thread. to repeat i copy here:

I am completely exasperated, upset and angry.

Spend all afternoon waiting to do my 90 day report. Had all necessary forms and passport.

After well over 2 hours waiting and 117 ahead of me I eventually reached the counter only to be told I needed do a TM 30 with all accompanying documents before I could have my TM 47 considered.

I was sent to 2 other immigration officers who confirmed that was so.

"No need to do another TM30"-

-words spoken here.

And I stupidly believed what I was told.

I assumed that because my Landlord had submitted  on line there was no need to do a TM 30.

No said immigration.

Because i had been living previously in Chonburi  then according to the immigration officer(s) TM 30 cannot be done on line.

And of course despite not being young any more they  have no mercy.

Any way I have posted separately on here asking if anyone can recommend an experienced immigration agent to help me.

Understand that you are going to be contacting an agent to sort your issue. But still not entirely clear on what's happened. You have stated that your landlord (new one, in Bangkok, correct?) completed a TM-30 (for the new place in Bangkok) and provided you with a print of the receipt.

And did you have that print with you, and handed it to the IO at the desk, when attempting to do the 90-day report? (As you said  you 'assumed because your landlord submitted online', 'there was no need to do a TM-30'.)

Something's not adding up here. something's off. The whole system of the TM-30 is really meant to be done online, done online by landlords.

You also say 'because i had been living previously in Chonburi  then according to the immigration officer(s) TM 30 cannot be done on line.'

That doesn't make any sense, either.

Hope the agent can sort it out, sounds like something has gotten lost in translation along the way. On the plus side, if you could say that, you have plenty of time to resolve the issue, up till 7 days after the 90-day report's due date. (But best to count 6 days, as I believe the due date itself counts as 'day 1' of the 'grace period'.)

If you got your extension in Chonburi especially if you used an agent (as in you don't even know the address they used down there to get your extension when you got it issued) you'd have to have filed a NEW TM30 the second you came back to Bangkok,
AND
dunno who told you that online TM30 wouldn't work, if your land lord filed one online AND if they exported the document after they filed it so you have a copy of TM30's PDF paper, you should be able to file a 90 day report with just that
OR
you might go to Bumrungrad at the 10th floor business center, they do 90 day reporting for people for 650 baht. They'll tell you when you're there if they can do it for you or not, so you won't waste any money if they can't do it
OR
Especially if you have an agent gotten extension from Chonburi, just don't even bother doing a 90 day report. NOTHING will happen to you, the maximum fine you can get is 2000baht if/when you go to file a 90 day report at a later date.

When your Bangkok land lord filed the TM30 did they send you the PDF file like this example? You NEED that to prove a TM30 was filed

Hello Tod Daniels: I have just seen your interesting reply.

The example TM 30 is exactly what my landlord filed on the day I moved in,

Yesterday when I presented this to the 90 day counter (with my completed TM47 app etc.) the clerk quizzed me as to why  I had moved to BKK since on their system it showed I lived in

Chonburi .

(none of her business)

Anyway:

Taken aback I replied "the hospitals better in BKK" she then proceeded to write on the TM form that I had handed  to her that  what was needed she wrote was "Update TM 30"

Despite my protests and holding up the TM 30 on line paper to her my 90 app was declined  and:

I was then sent to 2 other counters with no avail saying in effect they needed to have a full TM 30 form with all necessary documents. If I understand correctly the as I had moved from Chonburi to BKK is the reason why on line TM 30 is not acceptable  to immigration for doing 90 day registration.

Currently  I will pursue this and going to Bumrungrad or accepting a fine is not on the table.

I am seeking an agent or lawyer to assist me.

Its been further complicated now in that the Landlord may have reluctance to assist believing they had done all they need to do with filing TM 30 on line on the day I moved in.

And maybe they are right.

But that does not help me if the only way I can do a 90 day is by the owner doing a non line TM 30?!

I will keep this thread up dated.

What type of extension do you have?

I have retirement extension due in February for renewal

Ironically I have never had problems with my renewals either in BKK or Chonburi

-Seems some immigration officers cannot get into there heads that some of us like to live at different times in different places in Thailand and nothing in the immigration laws say we cannot do that

I asked because one of my Thai partners tenants (farang teacher) recently had been asked for multiple "stuff" for extension. Not just the example TM30 Tod posted regarding proof of where they live.

Owners title deed etc.

However that's not your situation.

Good luck getting it sorted.

To me this indicates that something might be wrong with the online TM30 your landlord has filed.

Did you double-check that all your details are correct, including the passport number?

Otherwise, your record wouldn't have been updated in their system properly, just like the IO said you would still be showing as residing in Chonburi.

Reading between the lines (and I may be misinterpreting what you wrote), it sounds like you:

Moved into your place in Bangkok, and your landlord filed the required TM30.

You subsequently obtained an extension using an agent. The agent have contacts in Chonburi, so they moved your address to Chonburi to get the extension.

You now try to file a TM47 in Bangkok, which obviously is not going to work, since your official address is in Chonburi.

In order to file the TM47, your landlord need to register, that "you moved back to Bangkok". Your landlord not unreasonably reluctant to do this, as from his point of view, you never moved away.

If I am correct in the above assumptions, then the only way to get your TM47 done, is for you to persuade your landlord to update the TM30 (monetary incentive?). Immigration in Bangkok is correctly refusing to file the TM47, until your address has been updated via a TM30. I am afraid this is just one of the complications with cutting corners and using an agent to get your extension.

Immigration have no problems with you moving between provinces, but it is a legal requirement to file a new TM30 every time you move.

Hello sophon:

The only correct thing u say is I moved to BKK from Chonburi (april 2025) and my Landlord filed an on line TM 30.

I already held a renewal done in January 2025 at Chonburi No agent involved and I used the 800k in the bank method.

I did the renewal myself with the 800 k held by me in my name at BKK bank Silom.

So kindly do not make false and  misleading and possibly libelous assumptions.

I mean that in the nicest possible way.

But do not accuse me of cutting corners!

Dear oh dear oh dear...

Anyway:

Update so far. A respectable agent is now taking for myself and my Landlord documents TM 30 and TM 47 (90 day) etc. with the necessary additional documents to CW immigration and I will know the outcome in a day or so.

I will update here when I know.

The agent told me that there are problems at CW with anyone having a visa stamp from Chonburi. That is the likely cause of my issues.

Also may I ask any knowledgeable person her in particular  DrJack54 an additional question:

Assuming my TM 30 and TM 47 are approved then for all intents and purposed I am  living  in BKK right? So I can do my next retirement renewal at CW?

Thx in advance.

Try these. I have used them for years and they are very good.

With both TM30 (that is also now used for change of address) + TM47 made with CW then no reason why you cannot obtain your annual extension at CW.

A lease would be a bonus and you already indicated that you did not use agent for extension and can show financial compliance to the requirements.

Suggest for the next extension at CW you obtain a 12 month bank statement.

Is your Thai bank account now Bangkok or Chonburi.

My main bank account is and always has been in Bangkok. And I have kept the 800 k there in a separate account for some years

I also have an account in Pattaya with the same bank. Not often used.

I appreciate your view which is mine that as far as we know there will be nothing to prevent me doing my annual renewal  at CW.

I have a 1 year renewable lease here in BKK.

I appreciate your sensible and helpful in put.

People can  change location and hence need to do extension at another office.

This bit is for others to be aware of....

If you obtain your Non O inside Thailand at eg CW, then be aware that for first extension you need to apply at same office.

After that you can change location and hence office you deal with.

Does CW do the bit where you bring in the TM-30 "printout" showing you are registered, but that only gets you through the "TM-30 desk, where they transfer the info to a "form," which they staple in your passport?

If so, the solution is to go to that desk first, and then with their little form-piece in-hand, do any other business.

They don't do that at CW, at least it isn't the norm.
