We saw some questions around here about the 90-day report rule so we just put out a quick video explaining the process. Hope you guys find it helpful!

Key points covered:

  • You only need to visit the immigration office for your first 90-day report - after that, you can submit it online. However, there are some caveats. For example, if you previously completed your 90-day report on a different visa (like a Tourist Visa) and are now reporting under a new one (like the DTV), you may be required to go in person again.

  • If you're leaving and re-entering Thailand every 90 days, you don’t need to submit a 90-day report.

  • If you’re planning to stay in Thailand for over 90 days, ask your landlord for an updated TM30 with a check-in date that matches your latest passport entry stamp.

  • Your TM30 check-in date should always be after your most recent arrival stamp.

  • We also cover the documents you'll need if you choose to submit your 90-day report in person.

If you have any questions, feel free to share them below or DM us!

After trip abroad and return to Thailand your first 90 report needs to be in person.

Some reports of via mail being accepted.

If we’re getting into specifics - then yes, there are a few caveats. For example, first report of each visa is typically done in person (even if you previously submitted your earlier report in person). I’ve updated the original post to include this, thanks for pointing it out!

Regarding your second point: it’s highly recommended to make sure your TM30 check-in date matches the date on your most recent entry stamp to avoid any potential issues.

Also not sure why the link isn't working - I've checked with multiple people and it seems to be working fine

Your first point is still incorrect.

This thread explains it. In particular post by @Tod Daniels

As for the video. Yes it does work.

Just had to hit play twice.

I would be interested to hear what you think those docs are. I say this as it's been different for me having  done so at different IOs.

NOTE: I've relocated multiple times over the years since I last entered Thailand and there's no way my most recent TM30 matches my entry date into the country. (Or am I not understanding what you mean?)

The video plays for me but not smoothly. I prefer YouTube over TikTok for informational videos....
