A man from Sukhothai has died following a high-speed motorcycle crash in the early hours of 1 July. The crash occurred on an on-ramp to the Bangkok-bound Motorway Route 7 in Pattaya.

At approximately 03:05 the Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan Rescue Centre received a report of a traffic incident involving a single motorcycle. Emergency responders and volunteers were immediately dispatched to the scene.

Upon arrival, rescue personnel discovered a red Yamaha Grand Filano motorbike, registration from Chonburi, damaged after crashing into a barrier on the curved section of the on-ramp. The force of the impact caused the rider to be thrown from the elevated road, falling approximately five metres to the ground below.

According to Pol. Lt. Col. Nakarab Siriphan, the investigating officer, there were no eyewitnesses to the crash. Officers have recorded the scene and are reviewing CCTV footage from nearby cameras to determine the cause of the crash.

The deceased’s body has been transferred to Hospital, where it will remain until relatives arrive to claim it.
