Fire Fire Breaks Out at Closed Pattaya Nightclub

A fire broke out late morning on 1 July, at a nightclub in Pattaya, prompting a response from local fire services who were able to contain the situation before it escalated into a major disaster.

 

At approximately 11:00, Pattaya City’s Disaster Prevention Centrereceived an emergency report of smoke emerging from a large entertainment venue located on North Pattaya 3rd Road, Moo 6, Bang Lamung District. Fire engines were immediately dispatched to the scene.

 

Upon arrival, firefighters found smoke pouring from a second-floor storage room at the rear of the building. Fortunately, no visible flames were present at that time. Emergency crews worked quickly to extinguish the fire and ventilate the area, to control the situation, which took approximately 30 minutes to bring under full control.

 

The nightclub in question is a recently opened high-end venue, with a massive investment reportedly exceeding 75 million baht. It is one of the newest additions to Pattaya’s vibrant nightlife scene.

 

According to officials, the fire was first detected by a staff member on duty, who noticed a burning smell and investigated the source. Upon discovering the smoke, they immediately contacted emergency services, which likely prevented the incident from becoming a full-scale incident.

 

No injuries were reported, and the fire was successfully contained to the storage room. Fire investigators are now working to determine the exact cause, with early speculation suggesting an electrical fault as a potential trigger.

 

The venue will remain temporarily closed while safety inspections are carried out.
