Business bank account app that lets you scan

Featured Replies

Today Kbank (bless them) finally retired their (very useful) Kbank SME App on Andriod. You are supposed to transition to their new app KBIZ - but only for Thai's and not for us dirty foreigners (even though I have banked with them for 18 years).

I run two busy businesses here and being able to make payments on my phone is super useful, so I need to change to bank with a decent mobile phone app.

Bangkok Bank doesn't have a phone app (that I am aware of - please correct me if I'm wrong), so even though I have a business account with them they are out of the potential banks to switch to.

So looking for a bank that allows foreigners to use their mobile app - a massive bonus would be the ability to scan QR codes to make payments from that app as this was lacking on the KBank app that has just been retired.

Thanks in advance.

I have a Bangkok Bank mobile banking app. I use it to scan QR codes everywhere to make payments, both in person or online.

SCB, KBank, and most banks have them.

Have you looked at KBank's K PLUS app? Not sure if any good for business, but it let's you scan QR codes, and do most online banking.

I use one for both.

One is used for business, the other is used for you personally.

Sometimes people use their personal apps for business but from a company accounting point of view, you should really just use your business account to do business transactions.

Fine you think the accounts should be separate to not mix business and pleasure.

But they can actually be the same type of account according to the bank, right? Both in your name. Just do different stuff with each of them.

I have a savings account with Kasikorn and use the K+ app, additional I register also for KBiz to have an additional access via website for the same account. On website is mentioned that my account is a business account. But anyway I don't have any business in Thailand and use this account only for private.

Me too.  My wife and I, have Kasikorn savings accts that we use for personal use only. Sometime ago, Kasikorn changed them over to show as Business accts without asking us. We use the phone app on our Android phones, and we each have our own web browser login. Nothing changed for us. We have the same acct numbers as before.

Registered businesses have business bank account, under the name of the business, not under a person's name. The normal personal apps only work with accounts under a person's name. Business accounts use the business app. It's not the user's choice.

Krungsri/ Yellow bank has an app as does Bangkok Bank. I use them both regularly.  I don't know about business accounts though.

Use my Bangkok Bank app to scan nearly all the time now.........very handy......think the card has thrown a wobbler.

The easiest solution is to retire here with enough money that means you don't need to run a business.
