I think you'll find they will be closed. Also closed next weekend due to the elections.

It will be closed here in BKK on Sunday but will be back in business on Monday which is a holiday.

As for being closed for the vote next week, last I heard was that it won't :o

Police told us only have to close if we get a letter, so far no letter has arrived. So we will be open as usual. Bet when I get to the bar today bet a letter will be there waitiong for me!

As far as I heard a few months ago is that the bars don't have to close anymore for birthdays of the royal family.

Prob be low key - no music and dimly lit. Usually the way when there are holidays. As for elections - think BKK is only place that I've seen it enforced.. good fun having a juice or coke at Big Dogs. :o

No closures this Sunday AFAIK. Last year the need to close bars on the Queens birthday was lifted (for Pattaya anyway), and there is no change this year. Also the BKK Post reported a couple of days ago that the bars can stay open on referendum day (19th Aug), as the Election Rules didn't apply to a referendum. So keep drinking, guys!
