Never claimed to be Hawaiian, but I am from a long time kamaaina family with some native Hawaiians included.

Do you have any idea how contradictory that statement is within of itself?

If they offered me a free house, car, and a monthly stipend, I would NOT return to the U.S. First of all, it isn't the U.S. now. There is nothing 'united' about America today. Not the people, not

  • So much drama in your response. First of all, no one will offer you free car, house and money. You are not required to eat out in restaurants.    What I do dislike about paying for take out

Why? Perhaps, you do not understand local culture and tradition.

I have not been back to the good-ol-USA since before old sleepy dementia Joe was elected President. Now that the United States has elected a Patriot American President again, I am looking forward to going back, maybe sometime this fall. I will be sure to wear my MAGA hat with pride when getting off the plane in Seattle. Happy times are here again.

Happy times for a select few.

Happy times for the half the country that voted for him.

Then why is his approval rating going downhill?  Or are the polls "fake news"?

Which polls?

Nate Silver's 2024 U.S. presidential election predictions were characterized by a high degree of uncertainty and a close race between Kamala Harris and Donald Trump. In his final forecast, Silver's model, which ran 80,000 simulations, showed Harris winning the Electoral College in 50.015% of the simulations, compared to Trump's 49.985%.

85% of polls are rubbish.

You mean like your opinions?

Silver's predictions fluctuated throughout the campaign. In October, he expressed a "gut feeling" that Trump would win, giving him a 53.1% chance of victory. However, he also cautioned against relying too heavily on intuition, noting that the race was essentially a 50-50 proposition. By early November, his model had shifted slightly in Harris's favor, but he still described the election as a "pure toss-up"

He seems like a bs artist to me. I signed up to his free emails then after a while wants money. His prediction was crap!

I predicted Trump's win 6 months ahead of time.

There is a tremendous amount of profiling going on in the US by law enforcement.

I am a white male - and I was repeatedly profiled - - I retired early and being under 60 and returning to the USA, I was thoroughly searched every time I returned from Thailand. I learned to return with the bare necessities so it won't take long - one change of clothes in a carry-on bag... once I was taken into a back room, hands against the wall... and once, I was let in easily - - a very big IO towering over me, arms folded - pulled me out as I came walking in before the baggage search area - and he asked me if I was independently wealthy - I shrugged, exhausted - and told him I thought of myself as independently lower middle class - - and he let out a very warm laugh and ushered me through, un-searched...

I don't know that his approvals are down significantly. I assume he got a dip with the Epstein debacle, but I do not know of anyone that voted for Trump that wishes Harris would have won.

And Trump's approval is nowhere near as low as the Democrat's approval.

Foreigners are now being justifiably advised to only bring burner phones into the U.S.

I think returning Americans will also be more subject to phone searches.

Is there such a thing as burner phones for sale in Thailand?

You’re a bit paranoid don’t you think?

I have no idea - I guess you can discard any phone that you can afford to throwaway?? I love my smartphone but only use it for the simplest of tasks - but it is wonderful to know that if I am out, my family can contact me if they need me... I get lots of messages, I can take pictures or check stock futures - I don't watch anything on it or stare at it - - but it's quite a handy tool - I play music from it while driving in the car - - Spotify - - absolutely anything I want to hear - - if I wanted to do that when I was younger, I had to buy the album and make cassette tapes... it takes me 5 minutes to slide and make a wonderful playlist - - what a world...

It's not paranoia if they're really out to get you.

I guess you haven't been paying attention to what's happened to the U.S.

Wow!  You know Hawaiian pidgin.  Big deal.

Good grief already, that really sounds paranoid. If one arrives and is flagged during the scan then they already may have probable cause and may already have or will acquire a search warrant.

A farce is easy to spot.

The polls are wrong by 6%.

That's ridiculous.
