Trump Could Strike ‘Hidden Pardon’ Deal With Ghislaine Maxwell

"Donald Trump could be plotting a “hidden pardon” deal with Ghislaine Maxwell to clear his name during the administration’s Jeffrey Epstein crisis, according to a former Pam Bondi aide.

Dave Aronberg, a former state attorney for Palm Beach County who was once Bondi’s drug czar when she was Florida’s attorney general, said on CNN that [Deputy Attorney General Todd] Blanche’s role in the interview was “extremely extraordinary.”

“It’s as if the number two executive at CNN was conducting this interview with me instead of you,” he told host Brianna Keilar. “Like, what? It never happens. Also, he’s not going to be knowledgeable about this case like the line prosecutors who actually handled her case.”"

I feel I ought to make this clear.

14,15 year olds are children, they do not have competence to agree to sexual activity with an adult.

Adult sex with minors is child rape.

The law is very clear on this matter, I hope you are too.

I get that ... but ... I knew what I was doing at 14 & 15 yrs old.   And teenagers today are a lot smarter than we were, socially.   These are teenagers living on the street, independent already.   That's a whole new mindset.

That's like a 14 or 15 yr old gang banger, caps & kills some old lady in a robbery ...  should he / she be tried as an adult ... HELL YEA.

How can pardoning her help Trump?

It can't. It can only hurt him.

Are you for real? A real living specimen? This is misguided for any normal living person. Her conviction rests on specific, proven acts, not unproven conspiracies. Epstein’s 2008 plea deal and death don’t negate the evidence against her, as courts have repeatedly upheld.

Of course I am. If theres no evidence against him then there isn't any to convict her of.
She was convicted of committing crimes WITH him.  How is that possible if theres no evidence against him ?

She'll win her appeal.

What you think you knew you were doing at 14,15 years old is as irrelevant as your views on how 14,15 year olds live today and your false equivalence.

Minors are not competent in the law to consent to sexual activities with an adult.

That’s the law, not an opinion.

You didn't care about the Pakistani rape gangs, you made excuses for them or denied their crimes.

But now you are absolutely incensed that this wealthy white woman hired some hookers for her boyfriend that might have been under 18?

I'm not buying the faux outrage Chomps.

exactly, immunity perhaps, to compel testimony. That's it, nothing more at this juncture. Also, her case is pending before SCOTUS on a petition for a writ of certiorari. No pardons at this time, far too convoluted based on timing.

Virginia Giuffre was recruited at 16, above the age of consent in most countries in the world.

Giuffre was a documented, proven liar. It was her testimony that got Maxwell thrown in jail.

There was one Jane Doe who claimed she was 13 and filed a lawsuit against Maxwell, but not clear that was an invention or fact.

Annie Farmer was in her mid 20s when she claims she was assaulted by Epstein and Maxwell.

'

Her criminal indictment related to one girl that was 14. That's the youngest age of a verified victim.

Now, should Maxwell serve some time for recruiting for Epstein? Given that some of the girls were 14, which is above the age of consent of some countries, but below the age consent in most US states, clearly the answer is yes.

However, 20 years is insane. She didn't kill anybody.

Her sentence should be reduced to something sensible like a year, and she should be set free for time served.

She was a scapegoat.

"Look over there everyone. There's the bad guy (girl). Now shut up about who she was actually acquiring them for because they are our mates".

She deserves a jail sentence but 20 years was ridiculous, especially given that the fact the "victims" have subsequently proven to be totally unreliable. Guiffre for example was clearly a willing participant who was paid at the time and then saw the opportunity for a massive payday decades later and took it.

In my opinion time served is enough. Pardon her.

Most of the girls were so abused they went back for more, did well financially then years later started to cry!

Donald Trump’s use of the presidential pardon has stirred controversy well beyond the January 6 rioters. Even during his first term, he granted clemency to several individuals whose cases raised serious ethical and political concerns. Here are some of the most eyebrow-raising pardons:

🕵️ Roger Stone

Longtime Trump ally and political operative

Convicted of obstruction, witness tampering, and lying to Congress during the Russia investigation

Trump commuted his sentence before Stone served any prison time

💼 Paul Manafort

Trump’s former campaign chairman

Convicted of tax fraud, bank fraud, and conspiracy charges related to his work for pro-Russian interests in Ukraine

Received a full pardon in December 2020

📉 Michael Flynn

Trump’s former national security adviser

Pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI about contacts with the Russian ambassador

Trump pardoned him before sentencing

💰 Charles Kushner

Father of Jared Kushner (Trump’s son-in-law)

Convicted of tax evasion, witness tampering, and illegal campaign donations

His pardon was widely seen as a personal favor

🔫 Joe Arpaio

Former sheriff of Maricopa County, Arizona

Convicted of criminal contempt for defying a court order to stop racial profiling

Trump pardoned him early in his presidency, sparking backlash from civil rights groups

🎲 Steve Bannon

Former White House strategist

Charged with defrauding donors in a “Build the Wall” fundraising scheme

Trump pardoned him on his last day in office, even though Bannon hadn’t yet gone to trial

Maxwell pardon, none planned. Why should Trump or anyone pardon Ghislaine Maxwell if she's convicted in a fair trial. Unlike Bidens massive corruption and his preemptive pardons for members of his crime family, President Trump believes in the rule of law and fair justice.

And that's why he pardoned Manafort, Stone, Bannon....! 🤣

Nonsense.

You've defended the rape gangs for years. Minimzed the affect on victims. Pretended it didn't happen. Tried to gaslight everyone.

Now you think you can redeem yourself by going after Maxwell.

Pathetic.

She needs to testify in front of congress preferably on live TV. Anything less is a clown show.

Even if she testifies who can say whether it is the truth or lies to make headlines to get her released from prison?

She has been convicted. Testifying will not get her released from prison.

This is all just grandstanding.

Questions over President Donald Trump’s past ties with Epstein and secret files related to him have dogged administration officials, including some officials who once stoked conspiracy theories and now say there is nothing further to disclose.

Trump on Friday ducked questions about the possibility of his pardoning Maxwell.

“You’re making a very big thing over something that’s not a big thing,” Trump told reporters on the tarmac after landing in Scotland. He said the media should be focused on other people with alleged links to Epstein.

“Don’t talk about Trump,” he added.
