"“American Automakers still need to review the details of the U.S.-Japan agreement, but any deal that charges a lower tariff for Japanese imports with virtually no U.S. content than it does North American-built vehicles with high U.S. content is a bad deal for the U.S. industry and U.S. auto workers,” said Matt Blunt, president of the American Automotive Policy Council, which represents the American companies Ford, General Motors and Stellantis.

The auto industry lobbyist called the agreement with Japan “another abandonment of U.S. autos.”"

Is he going to know more than Trump about the automotive industry?

I very much doubt it......

Does the phrase "Trumps massive deal with Japan" thanks to tariffs jar at all with the hiveminds frantic assertion that "no deals or benefit can possibly arise from his tariffs which are just a tax on Americans"??

If you must keep shifting the goalposts, does it suggest your argument was credible to begin with?

3 cheers for DJT and his beautiful and well implemented tariffs.

The Japanese are practically the only major country still buying and holding American debt. Trump had to surrender the auto industry to them, unless he wanted an economic Pearl Harbor, where the Japanese join the dollar selloff Trump has started.
