Are you saying that you and Jesus go dancing together, to music you cannot hear?

Alcohol is without a doubt cytotoxic, but it all depends on how of it you consume and how often. A bit of red wine or a couple of beers daily have never killed anyone. A bottle of vodka on the other hand will definirly take its toll over time.

Who leads - you or Jesus?  Is Jesus hard of hearing as well?

I stopped drinking alcohol, too.  Luckily I have not become deaf.  If that's what happens when you quit drinking then perhaps I had better start again.

A lot of people just don't understand how incredibly toxic alcohol can be, and the ramifications of drinking too much especially for those of us that are beyond 50. The effect that it has on the liver the kidneys and other internal organs is dramatic. Habitual consumption of too much alcohol can result in severe liver damage, and once that happens all bets are off.

But you can regenerate your liver , Milk thistle ect to keep it under control as long as not hard spirits

What a sad way to go.  RIP..

Oh I dunno. Dying in agony over months with Cancer for example seems way worse.

Whereas this gentleman was obviously having a good time and was looked after then left on a sofa to sleep it off a bit before they were going to see him home.

It will probably transpire he had underlying health conditions.

There are far far worse ways to go.

It's a good idea to have at least two alcohol-free days a week, it allows the liver to regenerate a bit.

I tried that but it was no good so now I only drink on the days that end in the letter  Y.

Had 2 beers in 2 months. Alcohol is a waste of time really.

consider yourself lucky that you're not so psychologically messed up that you need to rely on alcohol as a crutch.

The incident prompts enquiries into the island's management of intoxicated tourists, particularly when it involves health and law enforcement agencies.

Very difficult to have a policy or anything in cases like this.

How can anyone judge if a person is drunk enough to need help or be detained or anything else.

Red wine is certainly healthier than grain alcohol, and it's all about moderation.

Alcohol is alcohol. The claims of red wine and its tanins  has never been proven. The  fact is that  genetics plays a big role in how we respond to alcohol.

I only drink when I am in walking distance of where I sleep. I have found this rule serves me well.

Ahh so that's why there are so many people who sleep in the gutter or doorways. Gotchya.
