It was Trump who announced the deal with Vietnam, while Vietnam never confirmed it. In fact they even publicly denied there was a deal. So who is the loser with the big mouth here. Answers on a postcard -

Thai Baht and it's continued strength
Yes.... Before Brexit, 55 baht to the GBP, ever since rarely over 45 baht. An average 20% hit, When Johnson took over, it dropped below 40 for a while. Morons F***** up my retirement, but they still 'believe' it was good for UK. And migration - before Brexit, mainly eastern Europeans, who at least worked and were only a minor problem; many of them just worked a few years to get a nice bit of cash to buy a house or start a business back home. Ever since, the dregs of Africa and Asia, who never leave. Last year the population of England and Wales grew by 690,000, of which 95% were migrants. -

Thai - Cambodia Conflict Thai Troops Detain 18 Cambodian Soldiers After Border Skirmish
It's a bit of a translation issue and an attempt to apply western type ranks to a unique Cambodian system. There is only 1 officer and he is the most junior of ranks. The way it was explained to me was that Cambodia doesn't have specialist designations or private first class connotations the way western style rankings have. If you pass some specialized training and are considered a possibility for leadership training you become what Thai's call a lance corporal. Corporals are the specialist class. They are not non comm officers they way they are in NATO countries or in Thailand. -

Witnessed minor bump and odd current flows here in San Diego fortunately much ado about nothing here,I’ve experienced a major bump back in 1960 after the earthquake in chile we were living on our schooner at fellows and Stewart berth 206 rite next to the henry ford bridge as a kid we saw entire marinas ripped out and shoved through that bridge before it could be raised!!As an 8 yo kid I didn’t realize I was in mortal danger just stood on the terminal island dyke and witnessed the incredible show!!we lit the boat off and towed a few friends to safty then ran down to San Diego for a few days to shelter.i still carry vivid memories of that day almost 70 years ago.
