Last Monday, at another press conference, Trump claimed that a former president told him that he wished that he had taken action in Iran, but declined to name which one it was. All four living former presidents deny having spoken to Trump about Iran since the war started, though the dead ones made no such claim, so it may have been one of them. Or maybe he was referring to former president 45, and was just talking to himself again: "“I’ve spoken to a certain president, who I like, actually — a past president, former president,” Trump said earlier Monday at the White House. “He said, ‘I wish I did it. I wish I did.’ But they didn’t do it.
