On a later nocturnal visit to again feast on our poultry, our  reticulated python visitor was caught in the act and fafo.

Local farmers consider the big ones a problem and can ignore their protected status, That one was 12' +.

We've had 4 pythons on the property, mostly Burmese. The local snake catcher was called several times.

I'm thinking of setting up a 'pet' export service. There is an endless stream of soi dogs local stock available.

  • No one is screaming, "They're eating our cats, they're eating our dogs!" So it's all good.

I used to buy dead baby mice to feed my Burmese Python, but the shop would sometimes run out when it needed feeding so I would by live baby hamsters, gerbils, mice, basically anything it would eat.

No peep from the vegans?

Even they would have trouble justifying feeding an apex predator with tofu.

A few days ago we gave our dogs a very strong internal medicine (poison) which makes their blood toxic for ticks and fleas.

Such infused pets would probably be a concern as feed for valuable zoo exhibits

I tried to make that point in a post above.

Are you expecting some sweet nothings whispered in your ear, or perhaps a back rub, from the person that gave you the like emoji?

After 20 years as a member of this forum the only constant thing I expect is encapsulated in your pathetic little dribble.

They could have worded it differently. 'Unwanted pets' sounds terrible. But 'Pets due to be euthanised anyway' is something very different.

In any case, anyone who just decides they don't want a pet shouldn't have one in the first place, and anyone who truly loves theirs wouldn't donate it for this.

Why can't the Danish authorities just use unwanted/illegal immigrants instead. And if they run out of them, the UK can offer a fresh and steady supply.

The terms you used to describe me were very insulting and taken  personally.

I called out a completely anonomous poster for his pathetic lack of abiity to express an opinion in words. I wasn't upset and my growth stage had nothing to do with my action.

:Thou doth protest too much, methinks"

You have extremely thin skin for a croc.

"love" for a dead pet is as transient as it is for people or not?  Does love continue for any corpse ?

Be it ashes or a grave site or tiger poop which physical entity holds evidence of prolonged value?

How recently would be acceptable?

Deceased pet versus deceased feral or bred animal ?

Not one objection to captive animals needing regular feed?

Cats have feelings, so dying in a loving human's arms is a different feeling from being snatched from a pen of doomed cats to die by being eaten alive. What cat owner would go along with this? I do not speak for dog owners.

A typical AN reply. "I can't be bothered to read even a paragraph or two of the article, let me bash my keyboard based only on the headline".

You literally only had to get past three whole sentences to read this, yeah tough ask I know:

Donated animals will be humanely euthanised by trained staff before being used as food.
