Pattaya welcomed representatives from the Singapore National Olympic Council (NOC) on 15 August, as they carried out an inspection of competition venues for the upcoming 33rd SEA Games, which Thailand will host from 9–20 December 2025.

The delegation, led by Anthony Lee, visited Jomtien Beach where windsurfing, jet skimand sailing competitions are scheduled to take place. They were accompanied by Pattana Boonsawat, Secretary-General of the Windsurfing Association of Thailand, along with association committee members, athletes and officials from the Sports Authority of Thailand and the SEA Games technical team.

The inspection covered competition areas, launching points, marine safety measures, athlete accommodation and medical facilities. The aim was to ensure that all aspects meet international standards before Singapore confirms its preparations to send a full national team to compete.

“The visit focused on evaluating venue readiness, safety protocols and supporting facilities so that the competition runs smoothly and at the highest level,” said Pattana.

The findings will be submitted to the Singapore NOC leadership as part of their preparations for the Games.

The SEA Games 2025, hosted in Thailand for the first time since 2007, will see thousands of athletes from across Southeast Asia compete in a wide range of sports, with Jomtien Beach set to be one of the major hubs for water sport events.
