How to get that 'zing' back into my aching bones and muscles?

I guess everyone has a goal that they want to achieve as they grow older.  I once lived in the Pyrenee mountains (beautiful place), and I wanted to cross from west to east on horseback before I died.  Unfortunately, all the horses got wind of my plan and emigrated...

Now, having reached retirement age of 66, and with modest but sufficient monthly income, I want to continue my educational charity in Myanmar for as long as I am able.  But although my brain is strong, it seems my flesh is not 🙂.  It's not my huge bunion and BPH and Bronchiestasis and dodgy eyes that is the problem - I have learnt to live with these.

No, it's just a general tiredness, aching bones and muscles.

I'm sure that there is no underlying serious illness - I'm just getting old!

I do take general supplements (Centrum Silver).  But are there some specific supplements that have proven results to make me as sprightly as a sprightly bar maid (female hormones aside)?

I hear that Boron is good for knee joints and magnesium is good for .... er ... something else.

I walk 5km every day and don't get tired (my lung function is normal - my bronchiestasis just produces more mucus than normal),  but I think I also need some other physical activity to stretch my tendons and make me more supple (bar maid comparison again).

I had a general blood works check-up last week, as well as an ECG and stress test, and nothing ill-toward found, arteries are clean as a whistle, no fat depositis etc, HR normal, blood pressure normal etc.

Suggestions welcome!

How are your testosterone levels, and have you looked at "Peptides" ?

Hi Charlie, yes I previously had twice-weekly, self-injection testosterone, (under doctor's supervision), but now I'm in Laos I have no testerone phials with me, (and I probably can't get any ordered for delivery to Laos).  I do have low T levels since my youth (generic thing, my father was the same).

Is there any natural substance that can boost T levels

When first started on TRT, you should not stop. When first started on TRT it is for life. No multivitamin or any substances can replace your natural level of hormones after start using TRT.

If you are low on Testosterone start lifting heavy weights can be a solution before you start trt, but now you need to go back to TRT.

Sorry, not possible.  I am in countries where T is either unobtainable or illegal...

Then for your health move back, unless you feel okay, and think this is the best for you.

You can start lifting weights carefully and add more compound exercises carefully to maintain and maybe improve your T, but as said above, your level will not improve by any natural supplements.

So you are saying that edible products (food/drink etc) that are high in natural testosterone will do nothing to increase our T levels?

Each and every day you must eat well and be active.

Going to the gym, exercising, resistance training, making sure you do cardio, getting the heart beating.

My mate starting going to the gym, he got shoulder pain, then stopped exercising and going to the gym. This is bad, I told him to continue to exercise, just lighter weights.

Yes and if it has some slightly evidence together with exercises by someone who have been exercising for years it can be a minor difference like tongkat ali it is more expensive and there is no long-term studies yet that can prove the effects

In my opinion anyone considering having testosterone injections must do so under strict medical supervision. A medical and medication history may well rule many people out of such treatment.

However a balanced diet healthy lifestyle and exercises can improve your own T-priduction if that was the reason for your low T

How long did you take TRT consistently?

As mentioned, I did all that previously with the medical check-up years ago and was trained by the nurse to self-inject.  Never had any problems to self-inject.

For about 4 years, then stopped maybe 1 year ago.

If you want to feel twenty years younger then read up on raw food diet, juicing dark leafy greens, vegetables and low sugar fruits, grow sprouts, broccoli sprouts are packed full of nutrients though a bit challenging finding broccoli seeds in bulk here. That would be a 100% raw food diet, nothing cooked, no coffee or whatever. Takes a bit of discipline but it’s well worth it. I’ll periodically go on a two to four week stretch until I break and give in to a beef steak.

Almost impossible to find in Thailand, not sure how it is elsewhere, but I wouldn’t gamble on UGL under ground labs

It's available pretty much everywhere. I've never had a problem finding it.

Keep it simple.   If you want more energy, more zing?
Try the Keto Lifestyle.  I'm 78 and still out and about every day, sports three-four times a week, NO NAPS in the afternoon...
