Police have arrested an unnamed teenage suspect in connection with the shooting of a 15-year-old schoolgirl in Khu Khot district, Pathum Thani.

The victim, identified as Ms. Phakaphon, a student at Wat Khlong Chan School, was critically injured when she was shot in the back of the head in Soi Sakunratnakham, Lat Sawai subdistrict, Lam Luk Ka district. The assailant initially fled the scene.

Investigators from Pathum Thani Provincial Police, led by Pol Col Harit Khamchumphon, tracked the suspect to Chaba Resort in Pattaya, Chonburi, where he was apprehended at a rented room on Soi Sukhumvit Pattaya 33. Police have also seized the vehicle believed to have been used in the attack. The firearm reportedly used in the shooting was allegedly discarded in a body of water, and authorities are continuing their search.

The suspect is currently in police custody and under interrogation as investigators continue to gather evidence.
