The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) has carried out a crackdown in Chon Buri province, arresting 87 suspects wanted under 110 outstanding warrants for crimes ranging from online fraud to drug trafficking.

The operation, led by the Highway Police Division under the CIB, focused on long-standing cases and cybercrime offences. According to officials, the sweep resulted in:

• 22 suspects arrested for renting out so-called “mule accounts” to call centre scam networks.

• 2 suspects detained on charges of drug trafficking.

• Dozens more apprehended in connection with other outstanding criminal cases.

All those arrested have been handed over to investigators to face legal proceedings.
