Anutin Declares Readiness to Lead Thailand’s Next Government

Why? Isaan people seem to love Thaksin while the elites hate him. He's also shutting down the scam centers, which we'll see what this new guy plans to do about.

This was the case but changed when Taksin jumped into bed with the military-elite something he promised he'd never do. As for Anutin yet again an unelected PM. Thing is where will he get the parlimentary votes from. PTP won't support him being that he withdrew his party from the coalition. If PP back him he's in. Politics in Thailand is insane.

Just what we need. A professional farang-hater.

With his previous negativity toward Falang I guess he will make it much more difficult to stay here.  Should be interesting to see.

No, just the dirty Farangs.....55555.

If  he removes all those Juice Heads, drug dealers, criminals and sketchy visa folks, I am in full support.

Anutin is as ready as he'll ever be... interpret that how you will

He is not a big lover of Farangs, going by some of his comments in the past,

I hope he will not make it. The worst that Thailand could get. New elections are the best, with freedom in all programs and no dissolving parties for fake reasons. However in another news article it was stated that new elections could take place as soon as the current parties were convinced they would win. It seems that things in Thailand will never change

Quote "As for Anutin yet again an unelected PM"     Total rubbish     Anutin  is NOT  PM    he maybe be a DEPUTY PM but Not a PM get your facts right,  its obvious you do not know the term "cobras"   you need to read the news

He is the least ready person in the country. He is a boil on the face of Thailand. His association with Prayuth alone should disqualify him from ever holding a higher office. He is a scourge.

So very, very true spidermike007. The most unethical corrupt politician in Thailand.

what a surprise (not)... the clown is ready, let the circus start

What I am saying, and I thought this would be quite obvious given the context of this thread, is that if Anutin gets the top job he will be yet another unelected PM. The majority of people of Thailand did not vote for a PTP PM nor did they vote for a BJP PM.

Exactly. Anutin is a slippery c@nt and he's a servant of the Establishment, and has no respect for democracy. The People's Party leaders can't trust this guy as far as they could throw him. His promises are as hollow as they come. He won't call an election - and even if he did, the courts or military would find some way to anul it. Doing a deal with Peau Thai isn't very pallatable either of course. But it's better than Anutin!

Interested to see examples. Not surprised though. Neither was the former Minister of Agriculture convicted heroine dealer. Something about his time in an Australian prison...

Do you enjoy being the holder of a Thai visa? You may find it quite difficult to hold on to with Anutin in the chair.

Yep. Those who have the numbers. If it wasn't for the Junta senators and the Thaksin deal Pita would have been the PM. The party that won the most seats. Thaksin was PM because the PTP had the numbers. Yingluk was PM because again PTP had the numbers. Prayut was PM due to the coup and a corrupt election. Anutin will get the job because the PTP/military elite relationship seems to have come to an end BJP, PTP and the military-elites will not vote for a PP candidate.

What an absolute hero.......once more into the breach dear friends, once more

Many readers on this forum think a new election is the way forward but history tells us that those in the military & other higher places are able to reject the peoples choice through, military intervention, BS means and a conveniently corrupted system. All tailored so the "haves" can keep their snouts in the trough while the "have nots" suffer.

But look around the planet and its not too much different in most other countries right now, the middle class is shrinking and the lower class is expanding rapidly. Europe and the developed world is being overrun by 3rd world migrants due to leaders like Angela Merkel having  some distorted vision that this would solve the worlds problems. The reality is quite the opposite and was very obvious before it happened that it would be a recipe for disaster! You have to start thinking about all this NWO talk,  which is unfolding right before our eyes and yet many seem oblivious to the reality of this very serious situation!!

NWO - New World Order 2030

He went crazy during Covid, but hopefully he will restore the Cannabis rules to where they were.

The MPs and the senate vote for the prime minister.

No, this changed meanwhile. Under the constitution written by the junta, between 2019 to 2024 appointed by the full National Assembly, including the Senate, the prime minister is currently appointed by the House of Representatives only.

We all want a Pita or Thanathorn type, but sadly Thailand isn’t ready for that level of norm and decency and can’t happen. Probably better Anutin than anyone else in the mix at the mo. If he could overcome influence from you know who, it would be a plus.

BANGKOK - In a surprising yet decisive move, Anutin Charnvirakul, leader of the Bhumjaithai Party, boldly declared his readiness to become Thailand’s Prime Minister, a role he’s claimed preparedness for since 2019. With confident assurances, Anutin announced his plan to form a special government tasked with steering the nation forward, designed to operate for four months following a policy declaration. This strategy comes with the backing and conditions set by the People's Party as crucial collaborators.

On the evening of 29 August, Anutin, accompanied by key political figures, detailed this ambitious plan. The gathering took place at the Bhumjaithai Party headquarters after intensive discussions with several political leaders, such as Santi Promphat from the Palang Pracharath Party and Sakda Witthienasilp from the Pheu Thai Party. This meeting highlighted a new era of political unity aimed at tackling Thailand’s ongoing challenges swiftly and effectively.

The essence of Anutin’s plan hinges on strategically navigating the political landscape to prevent stagnation and propel the nation forward. An agreement with the People's Party has been reached on numerous critical issues. Among them, the need for a constitutional referendum stands out as a pivotal step to address national governance concerns and enhance diplomatic relations with neighbouring countries. This temporary governing body intends to hand back power to the people within a tight four-month frame, post-policy articulation, including a strategic dissolution of Parliament to facilitate a national reset through renewed elections.

The recent Constitutional Court ruling has underscored the urgency and galvanised this collaborative push. Anutin stressed the need to avoid any halt in Thailand’s progress, bringing together a coalition of political factions capable of addressing the nation’s immediate challenges. This proposed government aims to focus on repairing international relations and restoring domestic peace and unity.

Anutin’s campaign has drawn backing from various political quarters, including notable support from Sakda Witthienasilp of the Pheu Thai Party and Suratin Pichan of the New Democracy Party. This diverse political coalition reflects a unified goal to secure Thailand’s ongoing development. Support from the People Party has been crucial, although some procedural specifics remain under negotiation, likely requiring formal agreements.

While addressing media queries, Anutin clarified questions about the People's Party’s official support and the tallying of votes. He emphasised practical success over numerical precision, confident that he could secure sufficient support to form a government. The conditions agreed upon with the People's Party, even if intricate in detail, are considered a pivotal step towards a functioning and effective administration.

A rapid pathway towards dissolving Parliament was discussed, focusing on addressing urgent national issues without delay. Anutin expressed a commitment to forming a government that transcends personal and party interests, aimed solely at national betterment. The collaboration includes contributions from the Kla Tham party, with members bringing significant experience and sincere intentions to the table, determined to address Thailand’s pressing challenges, reported the Daily News.

Anutin’s announcement grasps the current political climate, embodying a commitment to breaking through Thailand's political deadlock and guiding the nation towards a future of stability and progress. The strategic preparations hint at a transformative period in Thai politics, driven by a collective vision shared by various political entities.

As Thailand stands on the brink of potential political renewal, efforts are consolidating around a new ethos of cooperation and forward-thinking policies. Anutin’s readiness and willingness to assume leadership underscores a focused plan on immediate resolution and constructive renewal, heralding a fresh chapter in the nation’s governance landscape.

In summary, Anutin Charnvirakul’s declaration marks a pivotal moment in Thai politics, promising to invigorate the nation with renewed leadership and direction. With alliances firming up and strategic plans in place, the promise of a special government casts a beam of hope for Thailand's immediate and long-term future.
