Rear Admiral Romli Bin Mustafa, Commander of the Malaysian Coast Guard for the states of Kedah and Perlis, on 4 September, led a delegation comprising officers from Malaysia’s Marine Police, Department of Fisheries, Customs, and Immigration on an official visit to Satun province

The visit, extended at the invitation of Captain Saenythai Buanium, Deputy Director of the National Maritime Interests Centre in Satun, focused on strengthening Thai–Malaysian relations along the border, sharing maritime security information, and enhancing cross-border management cooperation.

The Thai hosts warmly welcomed the Malaysian delegation at the Tammalang Pier before both sides participated in a friendly Thailand–Malaysia football match at the Khao Jin artificial turf field in Khlong Khut subdistrict, Mueang Satun district. The atmosphere was filled with smiles and camaraderie, reflecting the strong bonds between the neighbouring countries.

The event not only reinforced cooperation on maritime security but also highlighted the importance of friendship and peaceful coexistence for the communities on both sides of the border.
