For some reason, members here on TV seem to believe that TESLA is planning to manufacture and sell super-cheap, self-contained houses to be put on lots which do not exist.

Maybe a good idea for Saudi Arabia with all that land covered with sand, but Arabia is a wasteland anyway, and nobody cares.

 

BUT, would it not be better to convince Musk to use his BORING COMPANY to start building underground?

 

I like the idea of living underground.

And, I think that THX-1138 was very much mistaken when he chose to leave the underground tunnels to "escape" to the world above ground.

 

So, this idea that Musk will start to manufacture TESLA boxes is completely false, it seems.

And, 

This video is completely misleading.

 

HOWEVER, what if Musk began a SURGE to design and construct an underground city, and to put his BORING COMPANY to good use?

 

Would you move underground?

I would for many reasons.

No noise down there, for one.

We could have super-fast elevators to take us down at least a mile, and the commute from the surface to that depth would take only about 30 seconds, at 120 MPH.

 

No vibration from trucks, or road noise down there, for sure.

No airplanes flying overhead.  And, no train horns, or freight cars.

And, it would be easy to hollow-out a very large cave for not much money.

Plus, there would be no building permits a mile-down.

 

So many advantages.

Would you buy?

 

Can we, do you think, petition Musk to consider this?

And, no more 911 threats or Nuclear Bomb worries if we lived a mile-down.

 

I think that Musk should first go-down before he goes up to Mars.

CONCERNING TEMPERATURE GRADIENTS, the deeper you go:

 

Obviously, nobody will need to heat their dwellings down there.

On the contrary, at a mile down, it might be a bit too hot for some.....

Being farther from Heaven, I mean....

 

 

 

The reason boring exists is because we would need to mostly live underground on Mars. People often forget that all the things Elon created or creates are in reality for his Mars plans. Like so many things, the real world wants little of it even it could offer many solutions.

Not different like endless other examples including a much better education model that a billionaire made already 1.5 decade ago, nobody wanted for free until this day, and then became a very expensive private model instead. 

 

Guess the idea is that most people just live <deleted>ty lives and we rarely do what we could do, it's just about keeping the peasants slaves and about $$$.

Correct.

 

When it comes to Mars, Elon has a one-track mind.

 

There will be Nuclear War.

Nuclear war will be completely devastating.

 

However, Elon should FIRST, as soon as possible, begin designing and building a city underground, ON EARTH, just for practice.

Such as city, according to Elon, must have a population of about 1 Million, just to ensure self-sustainability.

 

Far easier to practice building a test city on Earth than to wait and try to build the first one on Mars.

 

There mush be many advantages.

 

And, at one-mile down, such a city on Earth would be impervious to threats from Nuclear War.

Even a hit from an asteroid, one mile down, would be like water off a duck's back.

 

Probably best to locate the city in solid-granite, or something....

 

 

 

Please do not forget:

 

We will need to build and duplicate factories down there, too.

As you can imagine, personally, I worry a great deal about....

 

GAMMA-RAY Irradiation .....

caused by bursts from some unidentified SUPERNOVA, which we know will happen anytime now.

 

If we go one-mile underground, and build a One Million Size City, down there, with factories and robots to do most of the work...

 

Then, after one thousand years, we can return to the surface of Earth and start again.

 

Seems to me this is the most urgent decision we can make.

 

FIRST:  Build city underground

 

NEXT: Or concurrently, head to Mars.

 

I think that Musk is being shortsighted putting all his eggs in one possible solution, which is the Mars Missions.
