Jet, my alter ego on there only has about 6 or 7 posts to her name, but I know about it. Partly because quite a few of those threads have been in Captain's Lounge & partly because, though you might need 100 posts to get into "Members", you don't need any to read the latest (often self-explanatory) title being discussed in there.

Another member has pm'ed me suggesting I might be being a bit harsh on the place. Fair enough, maybe I am. I'm willing to admit it. But I still feel more comfortable here. I just don't fancy having to establish myself & rise through the ranks again. I first posted on there as a young cigar-smoking actor playing Che Guevara. Very handsome if I do say so myself. Didn't get any points for being a guy so switched to my real av and immediately got redded by admin for being a sneak.

It took them a couple of weeks of speculation before one or two thought to google it and worked out who I was. I then reverted to Old Croc.

I joined there at a different stage of their evolution. Most, at the time, were morbidly obsessed with ThaiVisa. I counted something like 14 threads devoted to the subject. Amongst other things, they were calling Tv a "ring of pedefiles" (apparently something to do with one former member some time in the distant past) and constantly attacked individual Tv members on their forum. One banned member even posted pictures of Tv members (taken socially at the FC in Surin) for them to abuse the subjects and their wives. Very nasty stuff! This guy is wondering now why he doesn't have any farang friends in his Issan town.

Several of us decided to join there to give them a little back. I (and several others)were quite abusive and insulting and managed to stir them up with some of their own medicine. They squealed like stuck pigs and had trouble working out why it was happenning. I was a very different personality there because of the circumstances. The upshot is, generally their obsessions have waned somewhat, there is only the occassional thread devoted to this forum and there are some good points to the way they have developed the place. Unfortunately, several of their members will never have the maturity to get over their banning from here and continue to snip. There is a secret sub-forum on TD entitled "Trolling" (or similar) where they boast about their latest "pranks" at Ajarn or Thaivisa.

Now you know why idiot first posts are sometimes called trolls.

They all have alternate niks here for the times they need serious discussion or help.

I only rarely drop in there these days and then only to defend further attacks. One former "hero" from here, now posts over there and thought it would be a good time and place to again attack me. I responded.

I can never be a normal member there because I am now greatly disliked, and also I wouldn't abide the couple of rabid members still peddling their crap.

However, I must state I am only talking about a hard core of D.. heads. There are many fine, intelligent, people there including some of my favorite posters on any forum.

OC, you've just confirmed something I've thought for a while, & actually mentioned twice, I believe, on the relevant threads about over confident newbie trolls & their original whereabouts.

I've read some of the paedophile comments on "Captain's Lounge", in the last few months, so it's not something they hide.

This is when I discovered them as well. They were so obsessed with Thai Visa that they didn't have anything else to talk about when TV went down a couple of times.

I did clock up a lot of posts very quickly, initially, as I was being attacked by quite a few of the locals and I tried to answer all of them. I then stayed a bit longer to amass enough posts to get in to the members only forums. Once I reached the 500 mark I faded away with only the odd foray in there since that time, largely for self amusement.

Staying off topic for a moment, can Jet or any others who are also members on that other TD forum give me some background on this Ice Maiden character. What a hoot, I've just read the thread on her wanting to work as a dancer in that Russian gogo place in Pattaya.

Was she ever on tv? Another personna of MTW or weho?

Ice Maiden was a prolific poster here as a seventeen year old going on 30. When banned she went over to the other place. She never went ahead with the dancing idea as far as I know. She eventually returned to England and is working as a typist in an accountants office or something.

But, as any person in their late teens, she was also full of confusion at the time, with a messy parental situation.

She's been back in the Uk for quite some time now, (we're still sporadically in touch)

She did "The Forum that must not be named" for a while, , she moved on to Ajarn for a while. I don't know if she bothers anymore. I think she's moved on and left Thailand behind. It's easier to put things times and experiences behind you when you're a kid I suppose.

I think she is now (for the moment) happily in love with a local boy from the area in which she lives and things seem to be going well for her.

Jet the Bobbsey Twins aren't made up they were a series of childrens books about two sets of twins. There was a common saying "dressed up like the bobbsey twins" which meant looking alike and impossibly clean and tidy.

I have attached a link Bobbsey Twins if anyone is interested. Just as an aside - if you find any original copies of the books in Granny's atic, they are worth a lot of money to collectors.

Ice Maiden hasn't shown up, but the thread has been bumped and some recent entries. All who haven't should go read it. entertaining stuff. She approached it as any potential job applicant; providing the details of employment (CCTV watching the girls, having to live with the other Russian girls, controlled diet [including various drugs it was postulated], specially made work uniforms [material costs low], and other factors. 2nd interview with the Russian & Thai mob bosses, etc... funny stuff.

The funniest thing was reading all the middle-aged men giving her advice like kindly old uncles not to work as an agogo dancer, and at the same time, making plans on other threads to go see her in the window. One of them asked her if she could say no to 20k Baht if offered by a sweaty Arab.

It's hard to say who are the best posters here, nearly everyone has their moments of brilliance but find it hard to maintain the standard.

cndvic, colpyat and sceadugenga are some of my favorites for consistantly good/interesting posts, but colpyat is always on the verge of being kicked off and I don't understand why.
