If we didn’t have to capacity to invent the wheel, we wouldn’t evolved to the extend of being able to wipe out most of the life on this planet, and stayed as hunters and gatherers. The fittest of the fittest would survive and there would had been less long lasting misery keeping people alive as long as possible under false premises. Average life span would had been 30 - 50 years for most. The a absolute worst discovery must be nuclear fission which came from Einstein's theory of special relativity, specifically the equation E=mc²
