Trump Sparks Controversy Claiming London Wants Sharia Law

I lived in Stamford Hill for several years and the huge jewish community there do not integrate at all - not a bit. But if a Muslim doesn't fully integrate it is an offence to British values or, or, or.......something.

The Jewish community may not integrate, but they'll never have the numbers to outvote traditional British Law.

Which may make them irritating to the intolerant, but not a danger to a way of life.

  • What lies?  The UK didn't have Sharia Councils during the Blitz, did they?  Now, they do.  It even says so in the OP.   It may be happening slowly and insidiously, but it is happening.

  • It's not.   They're trying to conflate the two. It's a stop gap measure until they can get their anti-blasphemy laws passed.     Couldn't agree more.

  • I didn't realize that being Muslim was considered a race. I learned something new today.

GDP Per Capita:

  • UK: $49,224
  • Indonesia: $4,876
  • Indonesia: $11,379

I'm not sure that a 75-90% drop in GDP is something to aspire to.

UK 300+ years. Indonesia and Malaysia about 80 years as a country.

Singapore, 60 years old, $91,000 per capita.  Not Muslim dominated like Malaysia at $11,379 per capita.

BTW, Happy Birthday Singapore!  60 years last month.

Despite what you read in your funny sources, most Brits are happy mixing with other cultures - we grew up with it.

What are my funny sources ?

People from similar backgrounds tend to congregate with each other and live together

Singapore did well based meritocracy and embracing diversity. The 1st President of Singapore is a Muslim. There are numerous Muslim MPs in the current Parliament as well as cabinet ministers. Diversity enriched its economy and culture and attracting top talent. Lots for you to learn from Singapore.

Much reminds of the recent ruckus over some UK govt website advertizing for more sharia judges at the same time they were frantically denying sharia courts in the uk were real. Peak leftism.

https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2025/07/28/government-website-sharia-court-job-advert-deleted/

Peak rightism, reacting to a headline and nothing more.......oh, and then lying a bit (a lot) to make it sound worse than it was.

It wasn't advertising for  "more Sharia Judges" though was it? It was a low paying administrative and secretarial role at the Manchester Community Centre in their Sharia community department. Nothing to do with the government other than them hosting a job seeking portal for companies to advertise for positions. And it was a position being advertised on this Find A Job portal by an independent registered charity. A charity's administrative position.

I assume you don't subscribe to the Telegraph so you haven't read the link you posted. Headline, react, exaggerate, then shout about it. Admit you didn't look in to "the ruckus", you just listened to a foghorn like Farage bleating about it and twisting it for his own political ends.

Always a pleasure to see the forums biggest racist calling everybody else racist.

Why so angry?   Were some of your relatives deported?

Not at all. I've grown sick and tired of Brits in Thailand pontificating about immigration in the UK. It doesn't even concern most of them, as they are immigrants in Thailand. But they are racist to the chore. It's horrific. You cannot reason or argue with them, even get them to concede a single point. These are radicalised, fundamentalist racists.

You see them all over Pattaya. I dare you to approach any Brit and talk immigration - you'll see the racism just ooze out. The hypocrisy of them is unreal.

Great day for triggering leftists, if only every day were like this!

Great day for right-wingers to post more lies.

Trump must have realized this from Marine One as he was not able to see the streets of London himself for all the protest risks on his visit this month.

He gets all his information from his new bestie the UK PM. Speaks volumes doesn't it.

Where is the controversy?

Everybody knows Trump.

If now a discussion will start about something that doesn't exist then you will fuel only his ideas of disruption.

Keep cool and ignore what he's saying.

Stop playing semantics. The same brain chemistry that triggers hatred for people who look different triggers hatred for people who worship differently. Harping on the definition of the word “race” is simply a deflection for those who hate Muslims: “I don’t like Muslims, but you can’t label me as a racist!” This flawed argument is so common, it’s become cliché. And race is a biological myth in any event; it is a purely sociological construction, binding the idea of “race” closer to that of “religion.” There’s tons on exactly this topic online, and it makes for interesting reading.

This man belongs in an asylum for his totally nonsensical remarks. Showing his racism yet again.

No point in denying it. We can all see it going on before our very eyes.

Can't say I noticed anything different from when I lived there 20 years ago, when I was back for a visit in April.  Still a bustling, exciting, diverse city, with cleaner air thanks to the mayor.  My kid loved it.

Yep, same. I lived there 30 years ago and still visit 1-2 times a year. Agree with all your points, especially the clean air and great public transport.

There's a reason Khan keeps getting voted in by people who live there.

Trump at the UN  showed all of his bad trates in his self adulating speach that  made everyone present see how mentally ill the man is. His narisism was on full desplay and he made the USA look lke fools in front a most of the world.

Sharia London: surge in back-room councils that rule on Muslim marriages

https://www.standard.co.uk/news/islamic-sharia-council-law-london-marriage-divorce-b1222943.html

To all the English "experts" who commented on my spelling ability my apologies. After a number of delightful New Zealand Savignon Blanc wines I was remiss in addressing my thoughts on the TACO President. It was good to see however no one disagreed with my toughts or message on the waste of space this man is.

I doubt he knows anything about Khan other than he's a Muslim, racism in its purest form.

He's been given the heads up by the PM in their meeting.
