On 23 September 2025, Kanchanaburi Provincial Administration Organisation (PAO) launched a project to equip all 13 districts with rescue cutting and spreading tools. The initiative aims to strengthen rescue operations for accidents and emergencies, improving safety for both residents and tourists.

The event took place at the Butsarakham Hall of Kanchanaburi PAO at 09:30, and included a signing ceremony for a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). The agreement was signed between Kanchanaburi PAO, Pitak Kanchan Foundation, National Park Rescue Centre 5, Bo Phloi Ruam Jai Association of Kanchanaburi and Kanchanaburi Rescue Foundation. Knowledge and training on the use of rescue equipment were provided by R.S.K. Rescue Equipment Co., Ltd.

The project involves providing 13 sets of cutting and spreading equipment, one for each district in Kanchanaburi province. The initiative was driven by Dr. Prawat Kittathamkulnitch, President of Kanchanaburi PAO, who emphasised the importance of improving rescue efficiency and ensuring public safety. The equipment is intended to allow faster and safer emergency response across the province.

Training sessions were also held to ensure officers are skilled in the proper use and maintenance of the tools. This training is expected to improve operational readiness and rescue capacity in urgent situations. Officials said the programme will enhance the province’s ability to provide timely assistance to victims of accidents and disasters.

The initiative is part of a broader strategy to build public confidence in safety across Kanchanaburi, particularly for residents and tourists visiting the province. Local authorities anticipate that the improved rescue capacity will contribute to reducing casualties and property damage during emergencies. The programme also strengthens cooperation between government agencies and rescue organisations.

Authorities have indicated they will monitor and evaluate the programme to ensure it delivers sustained improvements in emergency response. Further training and equipment updates may follow based on operational feedback. The Kanchanaburi PAO intends to maintain close collaboration with rescue agencies to uphold high standards of emergency preparedness.
